Whatis manthat You takethoughtof him, And the sonof manthat You carefor him?
In the beginningGodcreatedthe heavensand the earth.
Then Godsaid,"Let there be lightsin the expanseof the heavensto separatethe dayfrom the night,and let them be for signsand for seasonsand for daysand years;
So they made their fatherdrinkwinethat nightalso,and the youngeraroseand laywith him; and he did not knowwhen she laydownor when she arose.
Then the LORDtooknoteof Sarahas He had said,and the LORDdidfor Sarahas He had promised.
"But will Godindeeddwellwith mankindon the earth?Behold,heavenand the highestheavencannotcontainYou; howmuchlessthishousewhichI have built.
Howmuchlessman,[that] maggot,And the sonof man,[that] worm!"
"Whatis manthat You magnifyhim, And that You are concernedabouthim,
Rememberme, O LORD,in [Your] favortoward Your people;Visitme with Your salvation,
To Him who madethe heavenswith skill,For His lovingkindnessis everlasting;
The moonand starsto ruleby night,For His lovingkindnessis everlasting.
O LORD,whatis man,that You takeknowledgeof him? Or the sonof man,that You thinkof him?
Do not trustin princes,In mortalman,in whomthereis nosalvation.
Dayto daypoursforthspeech,And nightto nightrevealsknowledge.
O sonsof men,howlongwill my honorbecome a reproach?[How long] will you lovewhatis worthlessand aimat deception?Selah.
Let Your handbe upon the manof Your righthand,Upon the sonof manwhom You madestrongfor Yourself.
For allthe godsof the peoplesare idols,But the LORDmadethe heavens.
So the peoplebelieved;and when they heardthat the LORDwas concernedabout the sonsof Israeland that He had seentheir affliction,then they bowedlowand worshiped.
Allthe nationsare as nothingbeforeHim, They are regardedby Him as lessthannothingand meaningless.
"I, even I, am He who comfortsyou. Whoare you that you are afraidof manwho diesAnd of the sonof manwho is madelike grass,
He saidto me, "Do you see[this], sonof man?Yetyou will seestillgreaterabominationsthanthese."
Jesussaidto him, "The foxeshaveholesand the birdsof the air[have] nests,but the Sonof Manhasnowhereto layHis head."
"Blessed[be] the LordGodof Israel,For He has visitedus and accomplishedredemptionfor His people,
and they will level you to the groundand your childrenwithinyou, and they will not leavein you one stoneupon another,becauseyou did not recognizethe timeof your visitation."
Keepyour behaviorexcellentamongthe Gentiles,sothat in the thing in whichthey slanderyou as evildoers,they may becauseof your gooddeeds,as they observe[them], glorifyGodin the dayof visitation.
