"You gaveYour goodSpiritto instructthem, Your mannaYou did not withholdfrom their mouth,And You gavethem waterfor their thirst.
They asked,and He broughtquail,And satisfiedthem with the breadof heaven.
You shedabroada plentifulrain,O God;You confirmedYour inheritancewhen it was parched.
When the layerof dewevaporated,behold,on the surfaceof the wildernessthere was a fineflake-likething,fineas the froston the ground.
Then the LORDsaidto Moses,"Behold,I will rainbreadfrom heavenfor you; and the peopleshall goout and gathera day'sportionevery day,that I may testthem, whether ornot they will walkin My instruction.
and allatethe samespiritualfood;
"I have ledyou fortyyearsin the wilderness;your clotheshave not wornout on you, and your sandalhas not wornout on your foot.
"He humbledyou and let you be hungry,and fedyou with mannawhichyou did not know,nordid your fathersknow,that He might make you understandthat mandoes not liveby breadalone,but manlivesby everythingthat proceedsout of the mouthof the LORD.
