And lovingkindnessis Yours, O Lord,For You recompensea manaccording to his work.
"Both richesand honor[come] from You, and You ruleover all,and in Your handis powerand might;and it lies in Your handto makegreatand to strengtheneveryone.
"IndeedGodspeaksonce,Or twice,[yet] noone noticesit.
"For He paysa manaccording to his work,And makes him findit according to his way.
"The Almighty--we cannotfindHim; He is exaltedin powerAnd He will not doviolenceto justiceand abundantrighteousness.
"If[it is a matter] of power,behold,[He is] the strongone!And if[it is a matter] of justice,whocan summonHim?
But the lovingkindnessof the LORDis from everlastingto everlastingon those who fearHim, And His righteousnessto children'schildren,
The LORDis compassionateand gracious,Slowto angerand aboundingin lovingkindness.
But You, O Lord,are a Godmercifuland gracious,Slowto angerand abundantin lovingkindnessand truth.
For You, Lord,are good,and readyto forgive,And abundantin lovingkindnessto allwho callupon You.
Ifyou say,"See,we did not knowthis,"Does He not consider[it] who weighsthe hearts?And does He not know[it] who keepsyour soul?And will He not renderto manaccording to his work?
greatin counseland mightyin deed,whoseeyesare opento allthe waysof the sonsof men,givingto everyoneaccording to his waysand according to the fruitof his deeds;
"ThereforeI will judgeyou, O houseof Israel,eachaccording to his conduct,"declaresthe LordGOD."Repentand turnawayfrom allyour transgressions,so that iniquitymay not becomea stumblingblockto you.
"Yet you say,The wayof the Lordis not right.'O houseof Israel,I will judgeeachof you according to his ways."
The kingwill mourn,the princewill be clothedwith horror,and the handsof the peopleof the landwill tremble.Accordingto their conductI will dealwith them, and by their judgmentsI will judgethem. And they will knowthat I am the LORD.'"
"O my God,inclineYour earand hear!OpenYour eyesand seeour desolationsand the citywhichis calledby Your name;for we are not presentingour supplicationsbeforeYou on accountof any meritsof our own, but on accountof Your greatcompassion.
"To the Lordour God[belong] compassionand forgiveness,for we have rebelledagainst Him;
Whois a GodlikeYou, who pardonsiniquityAnd passesoverthe rebelliousactof the remnantof His possession?He does not retainHis angerforever,BecauseHe delightsin unchanginglove.
"For the Sonof Manis goingto comein the gloryof His Fatherwith His angels,and WILL THENREPAYEVERY MANACCORDINGTO HIS DEEDS.
whoWILL RENDERTO EACH PERSONACCORDINGTO HIS DEEDS:
Nowhe who plantsand he who watersare one;but eachwill receivehis ownrewardaccordingto his ownlabor.
For we mustallappearbeforethe judgment seatof Christ,sothat each onemay be recompensedfor his deeds in the body,accordingto whathe has done,whethergoodorbad.
knowingthat whatevergood thingeach onedoes,thishe will receive backfrom the Lord,whetherslaveorfree.
For he who doeswrongwill receivethe consequences of the wrongwhichhe has done,and that withoutpartiality.
Ifyou addressas Fatherthe One who impartiallyjudgesaccordingto each one'swork,conductyourselves in fearduring the timeof your stay[on earth];
"Behold,I am comingquickly,and My reward[is] with Me, to renderto every manaccordingto what he has done.
