O God,You have rejectedus. You have brokenus; You have beenangry;O, restoreus.

YetYou have rejected[us] and broughtus to dishonor,And do not goout with our armies.
Davidalso defeatedHadadezerkingof Zobah[as far as] Hamath,as he wentto establishhis ruleto the EuphratesRiver.
So Davidcameto Baal-perazimand defeatedthem there;and he said,"The LORDhas brokenthroughmy enemiesbeforeme like the breakthroughof waters."Thereforehe namedthat placeBaal-perazim.
Do return,O LORD;howlong[will it be]? And be sorryfor Your servants.
Restoreus, O Godof our salvation,And cause Your indignationtowardus to cease.
He killed[of] Edomin the Valleyof Salt10000and tookSelaby war,and namedit Joktheelto thisday.
OnceYou spokein visionto Your godlyones,And said,"I have givenhelpto one whois mighty;I have exaltedone chosenfrom the people.
"I have madea covenantwith My chosen;I have swornto DavidMy servant,
O God,restoreus And cause Your faceto shine[upon us], and we will be saved.
Howlong,O LORD?Will You be angryforever?Will Your jealousyburnlikefire?
O God,whyhave You rejected[us] forever?Why does Your angersmokeagainst the sheepof Your pasture?
Have not You Yourself,O God,rejectedus? And will You not goforthwith our armies,O God?
Do not slaythem, ormy peoplewill forget;Scatterthem by Your power,and bringthem down,O Lord,our shield.
Deliverme from my enemies,O my God;Setme [securely] on highaway from those who riseup against me.
Now Amaziahstrengthenedhimself and ledhis peopleforth,and wentto the Valleyof Saltand struckdown10000of the sonsof Seir.
"As for you, my sonSolomon,knowthe Godof your father,and serveHim with a wholeheartand a willingmind;for the LORDsearchesallhearts,and understandseveryintentof the thoughts.Ifyou seekHim, He will let you findHim; but ifyou forsakeHim, He will rejectyou forever.
But Samuelsaid,"Whathave you done?"And Saulsaid,"BecauseI sawthat the peoplewere scatteringfrom me, and that you did not comewithin the appointeddays,and that the Philistineswere assemblingat Michmash,
Then the one who broughtthe newsreplied,"Israelhas fledbeforethe Philistinesand there has alsobeena greatslaughteramong the people,and your twosonsalso,Hophniand Phinehas,are dead,and the arkof Godhas been taken."
Have not You Yourself, O God,rejectedus? And will You not goforthwith our armies,O God?
Helpus, O Godof our salvation,for the gloryof Your name;And deliverus and forgiveour sinsfor Your name'ssake.
And Hadadezersentand broughtout the Arameanswhowere beyondthe River,and they cameto Helam;and Shobachthe commanderof the armyof Hadadezerledthem.
"I will strengthenthe houseof Judah,And I will savethe houseof Joseph,And I will bringthem back,BecauseI havehadcompassionon them; And they will be as thoughI had not rejectedthem, For I am the LORDtheir Godand I will answerthem.
But You have castoffand rejected,You have beenfullof wrathagainstYour anointed.
A Godgreatlyfearedin the councilof the holyones,And awesomeaboveallthose who are aroundHim?
He putgarrisonsin Edom.In allEdomhe putgarrisons,and allthe Edomitesbecameservantsto David.And the LORDhelpedDavidwhereverhe went.
Oh, giveear,Shepherdof Israel,You who leadJosephlike a flock;You who are enthroned[above] the cherubim,shineforth!
