Return,O LORD,rescuemy soul;Saveme becauseof Your lovingkindness.
Then I calledupon the nameof the LORD:"O LORD,I beseechYou, savemy life!"
For You have rescuedmy soulfrom death,My eyesfrom tears,My feetfrom stumbling.
Delivermy soul,O LORD,from lyinglips,From a deceitfultongue.
The LORDwill protectyou from allevil;He will keepyour soul.
Howlongshall I takecounselin my soul,[Having] sorrowin my heartall the day?Howlongwill my enemybe exaltedoverme?
Arise,O LORD,confronthim, bringhim low;Delivermy soulfrom the wickedwith Your sword,
Delivermy soulfrom the sword,My only[life] from the powerof the dog.
Do not rememberthe sinsof my youthor my transgressions;According to Your lovingkindnessrememberme, For Your goodness'sake,O LORD.
But as for me, my prayeris to You, O LORD,at an acceptabletime;O God,in the greatnessof Your lovingkindness,Answerme with Your savingtruth.
Howlong,O God,will the adversaryrevile,[And] the enemyspurnYour nameforever?
Howlong,O LORD?Will You be angryforever?Will Your jealousyburnlikefire?
O God[of] hosts,turnagainnow,we beseechYou; Lookdownfrom heavenand see,and takecareof thisvine,
For Your lovingkindnesstowardme is great,And You have deliveredmy soulfrom the depthsof Sheol.
Do return,O LORD;howlong[will it be]? And be sorryfor Your servants.
"Lo,for [my own] welfareI hadgreatbitterness;It is You who has keptmy soulfrom the pitof nothingness,For You have castallmy sinsbehindYour back.
"O my God,inclineYour earand hear!OpenYour eyesand seeour desolationsand the citywhichis calledby Your name;for we are not presentingour supplicationsbeforeYou on accountof any meritsof our own, but on accountof Your greatcompassion.
"From the daysof your fathersyou have turnedasidefrom My statutesand have not kept[them]. Returnto Me, and I will returnto you," saysthe LORDof hosts."But you say,'Howshall we return?'
to the praiseof the gloryof His grace,whichHe freely bestowedon us in the Beloved.
