"Returnand sayto Hezekiahthe leaderof My people,'Thussaysthe LORD,the Godof your fatherDavid,"I have heardyour prayer,I have seenyour tears;behold,I will healyou. On the thirddayyou shall goup to the houseof the LORD.
"My friendsare my scoffers;My eyeweepsto God.
The LORDwill guardyour goingout and your comingin From thistimeforth and forever.
Your eyeshave seenmy unformedsubstance;And in Your bookwere allwrittenThe daysthat were ordained[for me], When as yet there was not oneof them.
"Hearmy prayer,O LORD,and giveearto my cry;Do not be silentat my tears;For I am a strangerwith You, A sojournerlike allmy fathers.
In alltheir afflictionHe was afflicted,And the angelof His presencesavedthem; In His loveand in His mercyHe redeemedthem, And He liftedthem and carriedthem allthe daysof old.
Yet You, O LORD,knowAlltheir deadlydesignsagainstme; Do not forgivetheir iniquityOr blotout their sinfrom Your sight.But may they be overthrownbeforeYou; Dealwith them in the timeof Your anger!
Thenthose who fearedthe LORDspoketo oneanother,and the LORDgaveattentionand heard[it], and a bookof remembrancewas writtenbeforeHim for those who fearthe LORDand who esteemHis name.
"But the veryhairsof your headare allnumbered.
[I have been] on frequentjourneys,in dangersfrom rivers,dangersfrom robbers,dangersfrom [my] countrymen,dangersfrom the Gentiles,dangersin the city,dangersin the wilderness,dangerson the sea,dangersamongfalse brethren;
Allthesediedin faith,withoutreceivingthe promises,but having seenthem and having welcomedthem from a distance,and having confessedthat they were strangersand exileson the earth.
([men] of whomthe worldwas not worthy),wanderingin desertsand mountainsand cavesand holesin the ground.
By faithAbraham,when he was called,obeyedby goingout to a placewhichhe was to receivefor an inheritance;and he wentout, not knowingwherehe was going.
And I sawthe dead,the greatand the small,standingbeforethe throne,and bookswere opened;and anotherbookwas opened,whichis [the book] of life;and the deadwere judgedfrom the things which were writtenin the books,accordingto their deeds.
for the Lambin the centerof the thronewill be their shepherd,and will guidethem to springsof the waterof life;and Godwill wipeeverytearfrom their eyes."
Now Davidfledand escapedand cameto Samuelat Ramah,and toldhim allthat Saulhad doneto him. And he and Samuelwentand stayedin Naioth.
Then Davidsaidto himself,"NowI will perishonedayby the handof Saul.Thereis nothingbetterfor me thanto escapeinto the landof the Philistines.Saulthen will despairof searchingfor me anymorein allthe territoryof Israel,and I will escapefrom his hand."
