How blessedis he whosehelpis the Godof Jacob,Whose hopeis in the LORDhis God,
My Godin His lovingkindnesswill meetme; Godwill let me look[triumphantly] upon my foes.
Comeand seethe worksof God,[Who is] awesomein [His] deedstowardthe sonsof men.
Pharaoh'sservantssaidto him, "Howlongwill thisman be a snareto us? Letthe mengo,that they may servethe LORDtheir God.Do you not realizethat Egyptis destroyed?"
Pharaoharosein the night,he and allhis servantsand allthe Egyptians,and there was a greatcryin Egypt,for therewas nohomewheretherewas not someone dead.
Behold,the LORDlaysthe earthwaste,devastatesit, distortsits surfaceand scattersits inhabitants.
Then they will rebuildthe ancientruins,They will raiseup the formerdevastations;And they will repairthe ruinedcities,The desolationsof manygenerations.
"Thereforethe LordHimselfwill giveyou a sign:Behold,a virginwill be with childand beara son,and she will callHis nameImmanuel.
"Devisea plan,but it will be thwarted;Statea proposal,but it will not stand,For Godis with us."
"Onlydo not rebelagainst the LORD;and do not fearthe peopleof the land,for they will be our prey.Their protectionhas been removedfrom them, and the LORDis with us; do not fearthem."
