You cleared[the ground] beforeit, And it tookdeeprootand filledthe land.
"Terrorand dreadfallupon them; By the greatnessof Your armthey are motionlessas stone;UntilYour peoplepassover,O LORD,Untilthe peoplepassoverwhomYou have purchased.
Who caused His gloriousarmto goat the righthandof Moses,Who dividedthe watersbeforethem to makefor Himself an everlastingname,
Then he saidto me, "Thisis the wordof the LORDto Zerubbabelsaying,Not by mightnorby power,but by My Spirit,'saysthe LORDof hosts.
"Ifthe LORDis pleasedwith us, then He will bringus into thislandand giveit to us-- a landwhichflowswith milkand honey.
But we havethistreasurein earthenvessels,sothat the surpassing greatnessof the powerwill be of Godand not from ourselves;
"Yeton your fathersdid the LORDsetHis affectionto lovethem, and He chosetheir descendantsafterthem, [even] you aboveallpeoples,as [it is] thisday.
Then I sentthe hornetbeforeyou and it droveout the twokingsof the Amoritesfrom beforeyou, [but] not by your swordor your bow.
Joshuasaid,"By thisyou shall knowthat the livingGodis amongyou, and that He will assuredlydispossessfrom beforeyou the Canaanite,the Hittite,the Hivite,the Perizzite,the Girgashite,the Amorite,and the Jebusite.
"For the LORDwill not abandonHis peopleon accountof His greatname,becausethe LORDhas been pleasedto makeyou a peoplefor Himself.
