O God,You are my God;I shall seekYou earnestly;My soulthirstsfor You, my fleshyearnsfor You, In a dryand wearylandwhere there is nowater.
For a dayin Your courtsis betterthana thousand[outside]. I would rather standat the thresholdof the houseof my GodThandwellin the tentsof wickedness.
OnethingI have askedfrom the LORD,that I shall seek:That I may dwellin the houseof the LORDallthe daysof my life,To beholdthe beautyof the LORDAnd to meditatein His temple.
Thenhe showedme a riverof the waterof life,clearas crystal,comingfrom the throneof Godand of the Lamb,
Nowon the lastday,the great[day] of the feast,Jesusstoodand criedout, saying,"Ifanyoneis thirsty,let him cometo Me and drink.
My soullongedand evenyearnedfor the courtsof the LORD;My heartand my fleshsingfor joyto the livingGod.
How blessedare those who dwellin Your house!They are everpraisingYou. Selah.
Then I will goto the altarof God,To Godmy exceedingjoy;And upon the lyreI shall praiseYou, O God,my God.
"Ohthat I knewwhere I might findHim, That I might cometo His seat!
"For My peoplehave committedtwoevils:They have forsakenMe, The fountainof livingwaters,To hewfor themselves cisterns,BrokencisternsThat canholdnowater.
For they themselvesreportaboutus what kindof a receptionwe hadwith you, and howyou turnedto Godfrom idolsto servea livingand true God,
"For justas the Fatherhaslifein Himself,evensoHe gaveto the Sonalsoto havelifein Himself;
They gofrom strengthto strength,[Every one of them] appearsbeforeGodin Zion.
"Threetimesa yearallyour malesshall appearbeforethe LordGOD.
"I makea decreethat in allthe dominionof my kingdommen are to fearand tremblebeforethe Godof Daniel;For He is the livingGodand enduringforever,And His kingdomis one whichwill not be destroyed,And His dominion[will be] forever.
But the LORDis the true God;He is the livingGodand the everlastingKing.At His wraththe earthquakes,And the nationscannotendureHis indignation.
Joshuasaid,"By thisyou shall knowthat the livingGodis amongyou, and that He will assuredlydispossessfrom beforeyou the Canaanite,the Hittite,the Hivite,the Perizzite,the Girgashite,the Amorite,and the Jebusite.
BecauseYour lovingkindnessis betterthanlife,My lipswill praiseYou.
Indeed,[while following] the wayof Your judgments,O LORD,We have waitedfor You eagerly;Your name,even Your memory,is the desireof [our] souls.
