They almostdestroyedme on earth,But as for me, I did not forsakeYour precepts.
The wickedwaitfor me to destroyme; I shall diligentlyconsiderYour testimonies.
The proudhave hiddena trapfor me, and cords;They have spreada netby the wayside;They have setsnaresfor me. Selah.
Keepme from the jawsof the trapwhich they have setfor me, And from the snaresof those who doiniquity.
But I, like a deafman,do not hear;And [I am] like a mutemanwho does not openhis mouth.
My heartis steadfast,O God,my heartis steadfast;I will sing,yes, I will singpraises!
May an outcrybe heardfrom their houses,WhenYou suddenlybringraidersupon them; For they have duga pitto captureme And hiddensnaresfor my feet.
Now whenDanielknewthat the documentwas signed,he enteredhis house(now in his roofchamberhe had windowsopentowardJerusalem);and he continued kneelingon his kneesthreetimesa day,prayingand givingthanksbeforehis God,as he had been doingpreviously.
