"Were not the Ethiopiansand the Lubiman immensearmywith verymanychariotsand horsemen?Yet because you reliedon the LORD,He deliveredthem into your hand.
But I said,"Should a manlikeme flee?And could one suchas I gointo the templeto savehis life?I will not goin."

And Jonathancalledafterthe lad,"Hurry,be quick,do not stay!"And Jonathan'sladpickedup the arrowand cameto his master.
And Davidwentfrom thereto Mizpahof Moab;and he saidto the kingof Moab,"Pleaselet my fatherand my mothercome[and stay] with you untilI knowwhatGodwill dofor me."
Davidstayedin the wildernessin the strongholds,and remainedin the hillcountryin the wildernessof Ziph.And Saulsoughthim everyday,but Goddid not deliverhim into his hand.
Then Davidsaidto himself,"NowI will perishonedayby the handof Saul.Thereis nothingbetterfor me thanto escapeinto the landof the Philistines.Saulthen will despairof searchingfor me anymorein allthe territoryof Israel,and I will escapefrom his hand."
