Blessingsare on the headof the righteous,But the mouthof the wickedconcealsviolence.
Now when the kingreturnedfrom the palacegardeninto the placewherethey were drinkingwine,Hamanwas fallingon the couchwhereEstherwas. Then the kingsaid,"Will he evenassaultthe queenwith me in the house?"As the wordwentout of the king'smouth,they coveredHaman'sface.
"The blessingof the one ready to perishcameupon me, And I made the widow'sheartsingfor joy.
The uprightseeit and are glad;But allunrighteousnessshutsits mouth.
The mouthof the righteousis a fountainof life,But the mouthof the wickedconcealsviolence.
He who gathersin summeris a sonwho actswisely,[But] he who sleepsin harvestis a sonwho actsshamefully.
He who withholdsgrain,the peoplewill cursehim, But blessingwill be on the headof him who sells[it].
But to those who rebukethe [wicked] will be delight,And a goodblessingwill comeupon them.
A faithfulmanwill aboundwith blessings,But he who makeshasteto be richwill not gounpunished.
The curseof the LORDis on the houseof the wicked,But He blessesthe dwellingof the righteous.
Sayto the righteousthat [it will go] well[with them], For they will eatthe fruitof their actions.
"Becauseof violenceto your brotherJacob,You will be covered[with] shame,And you will be cutoffforever.
Nowwe knowthat whateverthe Lawsays,it speaksto thosewho are underthe Law,sothat everymouthmay be closedand allthe worldmay becomeaccountableto God;
"Alltheseblessingswill comeupon you and overtakeyou ifyou obeythe LORDyour God:
