"For the waywardnessof the naivewill killthem, And the complacencyof foolswill destroythem.
Seeto it that you do not refuseHim who is speaking.For ifthosedid not escapewhen they refusedhim who warned[them] on earth,muchless[will] we [escape] who turn awayfrom Him who [warns] from heaven.
"But he who sinsagainst me injureshimself;Allthose who hateme lovedeath."
"He who believesin the Sonhaseternallife;but he who does not obeythe Sonwill not seelife,but the wrathof Godabideson him."
"Your own wickednesswill correctyou, And your apostasieswill reproveyou; Knowtherefore and seethat it is eviland bitterFor you to forsakethe LORDyour God,And the dreadof Me is not in you," declaresthe LordGODof hosts.
But ifyou are withoutdiscipline,of whichallhave becomepartakers,thenyou are illegitimate childrenand not sons.
May their tablebeforethem becomea snare;And when they are in peace,[may it become] a trap.
You have lived luxuriouslyon the earthand led a life of wanton pleasure;you have fattenedyour heartsin a dayof slaughter.
"Howlong,O naiveones,will you lovebeing simple-minded?And scoffersdelightthemselves in scoffingAnd foolshateknowledge?
His own iniquitieswill capturethe wicked,And he will be heldwith the cordsof his sin.
"O naiveones,understandprudence;And, O fools,understandwisdom.
SoI will choosetheir punishmentsAnd will bringon them whatthey dread.BecauseI called,but nooneanswered;I spoke,but they did not listen.And they didevilin My sightAnd chosethat in whichI did not delight."
"Cursed[shall be] your basketand your kneadingbowl.
For her housesinksdownto deathAnd her tracks[lead] to the dead;

The lipsof the righteousfeedmany,But foolsdiefor lackof understanding.
A wisemanis cautiousand turnsawayfrom evil,But a foolis arrogantand careless.
Woeto thosewho are at easein ZionAnd to those who [feel] securein the mountainof Samaria,The distinguishedmen of the foremostof nations,To whomthe houseof Israelcomes.
