You shall offerthe onelambin the morningand the otherlambyou shall offerat twilight;
When middaywas past,they raveduntilthe time of the offeringof the [evening] sacrifice;but therewas novoice,nooneanswered,and noonepaidattention.
At the timeof the offeringof the [evening] sacrifice,Elijahthe prophetcamenearand said,"O LORD,the Godof Abraham,Isaacand Israel,todaylet it be knownthat You are Godin Israeland that I am Your servantand I have doneallthesethingsat Your word.
to offerburntofferingsto the LORDon the altarof burntofferingcontinuallymorningand evening,even according to allthat is writtenin the lawof the LORD,whichHe commandedIsrael.
May my prayerbe countedas incensebeforeYou; The liftingup of my handsas the eveningoffering.
You shall keepit untilthe fourteenthdayof the samemonth,then the wholeassemblyof the congregationof Israelis to killit at twilight.
whileI was stillspeakingin prayer,then the manGabriel,whomI had seenin the visionpreviously,cameto me in [my] extremewearinessabout the timeof the eveningoffering.
Girdyourselves[with sackcloth] And lament,O priests;Wail,O ministersof the altar!Come,spendthe nightin sackclothO ministersof my God,For the grain offeringand the drinkofferingAre withheldfrom the houseof your God.
Ifhe is going to offera lambfor his offering,then he shall offerit beforethe LORD,
"You shall sayto them, 'Thisis the offeringby firewhichyou shall offerto the LORD:twomalelambsone yearoldwithoutdefect[as] a continualburntofferingevery day.
also a tenthof an ephahof fineflourfor a grain offering,mixedwith a fourthof a hinof beatenoil.
"On the fourteenthdayof thismonth,at twilight,you shall observeit at its appointedtime;you shall observeit according to allits statutesand according to allits ordinances."
