The peoplespokeagainst Godand Moses,"Whyhave you broughtus up out of Egyptto diein the wilderness?For thereis nofoodand nowater,and we loathethis miserablefood."
Godmakesa homefor the lonely;He leadsout the prisonersinto prosperity,Onlythe rebelliousdwellin a parchedland.
Then they spokeagainst God;They said,"CanGodpreparea tablein the wilderness?
Then they saidto Moses,"Is it becausetherewere nogravesin Egyptthat you have takenus away to diein the wilderness?Whyhave you dealtwith us in thisway,bringingus out of Egypt?
So the peoplegrumbledat Moses,saying,"Whatshall we drink?"
When the sonsof Israelsaw[it], they saidto oneanother,"Whatis it?" For they did not knowwhatit was. And Mosessaidto them, "It is the breadwhichthe LORDhas givenyou to eat.
The houseof Israelnamedit manna,and it was like corianderseed,white,and its tastewas like waferswith honey.
A satedmanloatheshoney,But to a famishedmananybitterthingis sweet.
"But the childrenrebelledagainst Me; they did not walkin My statutes,norwere they carefulto observeMy ordinances,by which,[if] a manobservesthem, he will live;they profanedMy sabbaths.So I resolvedto pourout My wrathon them, to accomplishMy angeragainst them in the wilderness.
but a wholemonth,untilit comesout of your nostrilsand becomesloathsometo you; becauseyou have rejectedthe LORDwhois amongyou and have weptbeforeHim, saying,"Whydid we everleaveEgypt?"'"
But on the nextdayallthe congregationof the sonsof IsraelgrumbledagainstMosesand Aaron,saying,"You are the ones who have causedthe deathof the LORD'Speople."
Then the sonsof Israelspoketo Moses,saying,"Behold,we perish,we are dying,we are alldying!
Norlet us trythe Lord,as someof them did,and were destroyedby the serpents.
