Belhas boweddown,Nebostoopsover;Their imagesare [consigned] to the beastsand the cattle.The thingsthat you carryare burdensome,A loadfor the weary[beast].
"Woeto you, scribesand Pharisees,hypocrites!For you tithemintand dilland cummin,and have neglectedthe weightier provisionsof the law:justiceand mercyand faithfulness;but theseare the things you shouldhave donewithoutneglectingthe others.
thereforeallthat they tellyou, doand observe,but do not doaccordingto their deeds;for they say[things] and do not do[them].
But He said,"Woeto you lawyersas well!For you weighmendownwith burdenshard to bear,whileyou yourselveswill not even touchthe burdenswith oneof your fingers.
"Nowthereforewhydo you putGodto the testby placingupon the neckof the disciplesa yokewhichneitherour fathersnorwe have been ableto bear?
"For it seemed goodto the HolySpiritand to us to layupon you nogreaterburdenthantheseessentials:
For thosewho are circumciseddo not evenkeepthe Lawthemselves,but they desireto have you circumcisedsothat they may boastin your flesh.
For thisis the loveof God,that we keepHis commandments;and His commandmentsare not burdensome.
But I sayto you, the restwho are in Thyatira,whodo not holdthisteaching,whohave not knownthe deep thingsof Satan,as they callthem-- I placenootherburdenon you.
