Nowwhen they had gone,behold,an angelof the Lordappearedto Josephin a dreamand said,"Getup! Takethe Childand His motherand fleeto Egypt,and remainthereuntilI tellyou; for Herodis goingto searchfor the Childto destroyHim."
that Hadadfledto Egypt,he and certainEdomitesof his father'sservantswith him, while Hadad[was] a youngboy.
In Gibeonthe LORDappearedto Solomonin a dreamat night;and Godsaid,"Askwhat[you wish] me to giveyou."
"In a dream,a visionof the night,When soundsleepfallson men,While they slumberin their beds,
That He may turnmanaside[from his] conduct,And keepmanfrom pride;
Then Pharaohcommandedallhis people,saying,"Everysonwho is bornyou are to castinto the Nile,and everydaughteryou are to keepalive."
But when he had consideredthis,behold,an angelof the Lordappearedto him in a dream,saying,"Joseph,sonof David,do not be afraidto takeMaryas your wife;for the Child whohas been conceivedin her is of the HolySpirit.
"But wheneverthey persecuteyou in onecity,fleeto the next;for trulyI sayto you, you will not finish[going through] the citiesof Israeluntilthe Sonof Mancomes.
And having been warned[by God] in a dreamnot to returnto Herod,the magi leftfor their own countryby anotherway.
SoJoseph gotup and tookthe Childand His motherwhile it was still night,and leftfor Egypt.
Thenwhen Herodsawthat he had been trickedby the magi,he became veryenraged,and sentand slewallthe male childrenwho were in Bethlehemand allits vicinity,from two years oldand under,accordingto the timewhichhe had determinedfrom the magi.
But when he heardthat Archelauswas reigningover Judeain placeof his fatherHerod,he was afraidto gothere.Thenafter being warned[by God] in a dream,he leftfor the regionsof Galilee,
They said,"Cornelius,a centurion,a righteousand God-fearingmanwell spokenof by the entirenationof the Jews,was [divinely] directedby a holyangelto sendfor you [to come] to his houseand heara messagefrom you."
Whenthe angelwho was speakingto him had left,he summonedtwoof his servantsand a devoutsoldierof thosewho were his personal attendants,
When Petercameto himself,he said,"NowI knowfor surethat the Lordhas sent forthHis angeland rescuedme from the handof Herodand from allthat the Jewishpeoplewere expecting."
And behold,an angelof the Lordsuddenly appearedand a lightshonein the cell;and he struckPeter'ssideand wokehim up, saying,"Getup quickly."And his chainsfell offhis hands.
And the jailerreportedthesewordsto Paul,[saying], "The chief magistrateshave sentto releaseyou. Thereforecomeout nowand goin peace."
But duringthe nightan angelof the Lordopenedthe gatesof the prison,and takingthem out he said,
"It was he who took shrewd advantageof our raceand mistreatedour fathersso that they would exposetheir infantsand they would not survive.
"It shall comeabout when the solesof the feetof the priestswho carrythe arkof the LORD,the Lordof allthe earth,restin the watersof the Jordan,the watersof the Jordanwill be cutoff,[and] the waterswhich are flowingdownfrom abovewill standin oneheap."
And the priestswho carriedthe arkof the covenantof the LORDstoodfirmon drygroundin the middleof the Jordanwhile allIsraelcrossedon dryground,untilallthe nationhad finishedcrossingthe Jordan.
For the priestswho carriedthe arkwere standingin the middleof the Jordanuntileverythingwas completedthat the LORDhad commandedJoshuato speakto the people,according to allthat Moseshad commandedJoshua.And the peoplehurriedand crossed;
It cameabout when the priestswho carriedthe arkof the covenantof the LORDhad comeup from the middleof the Jordan,and the solesof the priests'feetwere liftedup to the dryground,that the watersof the Jordanreturnedto their place,and wentoverallits banksas before.
But the twowingsof the greateaglewere givento the woman,sothat she could flyinto the wildernessto her place,whereshe was nourishedfor a timeand timesand halfa time,from the presenceof the serpent.
And his tailswept awaya thirdof the starsof heavenand threwthem to the earth.And the dragonstoodbeforethe womanwho was aboutto givebirth,sothat whenshe gave birthhe might devourher child.
Thenthe womanfledinto the wildernesswhereshe hada placepreparedby God,sothat thereshe would be nourishedfor one thousandtwo hundredand sixtydays.
