Aftercominginto the housethey sawthe Childwith MaryHis mother;and they fellto the ground and worshipedHim. Then,openingtheir treasures,they presentedto Him giftsof gold,frankincense,and myrrh.
Then their fatherIsraelsaidto them, "If[it must be] so,thendothis:takesomeof the bestproductsof the landin your bags,and carrydownto the manas a present,a littlebalmand a littlehoney,aromaticgumand myrrh,pistachionutsand almonds.
She gavethe kinga hundredand twentytalentsof gold,and a verygreat[amount] of spicesand preciousstones.Neveragaindid suchabundanceof spicescomein as that whichthe queenof ShebagaveKingSolomon.
So she cameto Jerusalemwith a verylargeretinue,with camelscarryingspicesand verymuchgoldand preciousstones.When she cameto Solomon,she spokewith him about allthat was in her heart.
Dohomageto the Son,that He not becomeangry,and you perish[in] the way,For His wrathmay soonbe kindled.How blessedare allwho takerefugein Him!
AllYour garmentsare [fragrant with] myrrhand aloes[and] cassia;Out of ivorypalacesstringedinstrumentshave madeYou glad.
Let the kingsof Tarshishand of the islandsbringpresents;The kingsof Shebaand Sebaoffergifts.
So may he live,and may the goldof Shebabe givento him; And let them prayfor him continually;Let them blesshim alldaylong.
Come,let us worshipand bowdown,Let us kneelbeforethe LORDour Maker.
"Takealso for yourself the finestof spices:of flowingmyrrhfivehundred[shekels], and of fragrantcinnamonhalfas much,two hundredand fifty,and of fragrantcanetwo hundredand fifty,
Then the LORDsaidto Moses,"Takefor yourself spices,stacteand onychaand galbanum,spiceswith purefrankincense;there shall be an equal partof each.
"Whatis thiscomingup from the wildernessLike columnsof smoke,Perfumedwith myrrhand frankincense,With allscentedpowdersof the merchant?
"A multitudeof camelswill coveryou, The youngcamelsof Midianand Ephah;Allthose from Shebawill come;They will bringgoldand frankincense,And will beargood newsof the praisesof the LORD.
Then one [of them] shall liftup from it a handfulof the fineflourof the grain offering,with its oiland allthe incensethat is on the grain offering,and he shall offer[it] up in smokeon the altar,a soothingaroma,as its memorialofferingto the LORD.
"For from the risingof the sunevento its setting,My name[will be] greatamong the nations,and in everyplaceincenseis going to be offeredto My name,and a grain offering[that is] pure;for My name[will be] greatamong the nations,"saysthe LORDof hosts.
onegoldpanof ten[shekels], fullof incense;
the twelvegoldpans,fullof incense,[weighing] ten[shekels] apiece,according to the shekelof the sanctuary,allthe goldof the pans120[shekels];
Nowthe birthof JesusChristwas as follows:when His motherMaryhad been betrothedto Joseph,beforethey came togethershe was foundto be with childby the HolySpirit.
While He was stillspeakingto the crowds,behold,His motherand brotherswere standingoutside,seekingto speakto Him.
And thosewho were in the boatworshipedHim, saying,"You are certainlyGod'sSon!"
When they sawthe star,they rejoicedexceedinglywith greatjoy.
"Whereis He who has been bornKingof the Jews?For we sawHis starin the eastand have cometo worshipHim."
Sothey camein a hurryand found their wayto Maryand Joseph,and the babyas He layin the manger.
At that verymomentshe cameup and [began] giving thanksto God,and continued to speakof Him to allthosewho were lookingfor the redemptionof Jerusalem.
Nicodemus,who had firstcometo Him by night,alsocame,bringinga mixtureof myrrhand aloes,abouta hundredpounds[weight].
ThenI fellat his feetto worshiphim. But he saidto me, "Do not dothat; I ama fellow servantof yoursand your brethrenwho holdthe testimonyof Jesus;worshipGod.For the testimonyof Jesusis the spiritof prophecy."
WhenHe had takenthe book,the fourliving creaturesand the twenty-foureldersfell downbeforethe Lamb,each oneholdinga harpand goldenbowlsfullof incense,whichare the prayersof the saints.
But certain worthlessmensaid,"Howcan thisonedeliverus?" And they despisedhim and did not bringhim any present.But he keptsilent.
