[the] BLINDRECEIVE SIGHTand [the] lamewalk,[the] lepersare cleansedand [the] deafhear,[the] deadare raisedup, and [the] POORHAVE THE GOSPEL PREACHEDTO THEM.
"THE SPIRITOF THE LORDIS UPON ME, BECAUSEHE ANOINTEDME TO PREACH THE GOSPELTO THE POOR.HE HAS SENTME TO PROCLAIMRELEASETO THE CAPTIVES,AND RECOVERY OF SIGHTTO THE BLIND,TO SETFREETHOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED,
On that daythe deafwill hearwordsof a book,And out of [their] gloomand darknessthe eyesof the blindwill see.
Listen,my belovedbrethren:did not Godchoosethe poorof thisworld[to be] richin faithand heirsof the kingdomwhichHe promisedto thosewho loveHim?
And [the] blindand [the] lamecameto Him in the temple,and He healedthem.
but ifI dothem, thoughyou do not believeMe, believethe works,sothat you may knowand understandthat the Fatheris in Me, and I in the Father."
Jesusansweredthem, "I toldyou, and you do not believe;the worksthat I doin My Father'sname,thesetestifyof Me.
"But the testimonywhich I haveis greaterthan [the testimony of] John;for the workswhichthe Fatherhas givenMe to accomplish--the veryworksthat I do--testifyaboutMe, that the Fatherhas sentMe.
this mancameto Jesus by nightand saidto Him, "Rabbi,we knowthat You have comefrom God[as] a teacher;for no onecandothesesignsthat You dounlessGodis with him."
NowwhenHe was in Jerusalemat the Passover,duringthe feast,manybelievedin His name,observingHis signswhichHe was doing.
When Jesussawthat a crowdwas rapidly gathering,He rebukedthe uncleanspirit,sayingto it, "You deafand mutespirit,I commandyou, comeout of him and do not enterhim again."
They were utterlyastonished,saying,"He has doneall thingswell;He makeseventhe deafto hearand the muteto speak."
"Heal[the] sick,raise[the] dead,cleanse[the] lepers,castout demons.Freelyyou received,freelygive.
And their eyeswere opened.And Jesussternly warnedthem: "Seethat no oneknows[about this]!"
"For My handmadeallthesethings,Thus allthesethingscameinto being,"declaresthe LORD."But to thisoneI will look,To him whois humbleand contriteof spirit,and whotremblesat My word.
Bringout the peoplewhoare blind,even though they haveeyes,And the deaf,even though they have ears.
The LORDopens[the eyes of] the blind;The LORDraisesup those who are boweddown;The LORDlovesthe righteous;
The afflictedwill eatand be satisfied;Those who seekHim will praisethe LORD.Let your heartliveforever!
So he wentdownand dipped[himself] seventimesin the Jordan,according to the wordof the manof God;and his fleshwas restoredlike the fleshof a littlechildand he was clean.
When the kingof Israelreadthe letter,he torehis clothesand said,"Am I God,to killand to makealive,that thisman is sending[word] to me to curea manof his leprosy?But considernow,and seehowhe is seekinga quarrelagainst me."
"Blessedare the poorin spirit,for theirsis the kingdomof heaven.
"Menof Israel,listento thesewords:Jesusthe Nazarene,a manattestedto you by Godwith miraclesand wondersand signswhichGodperformedthroughHim in your midst,justas you yourselvesknow--
So I pasturedthe flock[doomed] to slaughter,hencethe afflictedof the flock.And I tookfor myself twostaffs:the oneI calledFavorand the otherI calledUnion;so I pasturedthe flock.
The LORDsaidto him, "Whohas mademan'smouth?Orwhomakes[him] muteordeaf,orseeingorblind?Is it not I, the LORD?
The afflictedalso will increasetheir gladnessin the LORD,And the needyof mankindwill rejoicein the HolyOneof Israel.
Jesusansweredand saidto them, "Goand reportto Johnwhatyou hearand see:
ThenHe saidto the man,"Stretchout your hand!"He stretchedit out, and it was restoredto normal,likethe other.
and saidto him, "Go,washin the poolof Siloam"(whichis translated,Sent).Sohe went awayand washed,and came[back] seeing.
