Immediatelya roostercroweda second time.And PeterrememberedhowJesushad madethe remarkto him, "Beforea roostercrowstwice,you will denyMe three times."And he began to weep.
Now David'shearttroubledhim afterhe had numberedthe people.So Davidsaidto the LORD,"I have sinnedgreatlyin whatI have done.But now,O LORD,pleasetakeawaythe iniquityof Your servant,for I have actedveryfoolishly."
so that you may rememberand be ashamedand neveropenyour mouthanymorebecauseof your humiliation,when I have forgivenyou for allthat you have done,"the LordGODdeclares.
"Then you will rememberyour evilwaysand your deedsthat were not good,and you will loatheyourselves in your own sightfor your iniquitiesand your abominations.
Even when their survivorsescape,they will be on the mountainslike dovesof the valleys,allof them mourning,eachover his own iniquity.
Jesussaidto him, "TrulyI sayto you that this[very] night,beforea roostercrows,you will denyMe three times."
And Jesussaidto him, "TrulyI sayto you, that thisverynight,beforea roostercrowstwice,you yourselfwill denyMe three times."
But he denied[it], saying,"I neitherknownorunderstandwhatyou are talkingabout." And he wentout ontothe porch,and a roostercrowed.
But he beganto curseand swear,"I do not knowthismanyou are talkingabout!"
But Petersaid,"Man,I do not knowwhatyou are talkingabout." Immediately,while he was stillspeaking,a roostercrowed.
And he wentout and weptbitterly.
For the sorrowthat is accordingto [the will] [of] Godproducesa repentancewithout regret,[leading] to salvation,but the sorrowof the worldproducesdeath.
