They cameto Jesus and wokeHim up, saying,"Master,Master,we are perishing!"And He gotup and rebukedthe windand the surging waves,and they stopped,and it becamecalm.
Who stillsthe roaringof the seas,The roaringof their waves,And the tumultof the peoples.
"Whywas therenomanwhen I came?When I called,[why] was therenoneto answer?Is My handsoshortthat it cannotransom?OrhaveI nopowerto deliver?Behold,I dryup the seawith My rebuke,I makethe riversa wilderness;Their fishstinkfor lackof waterAnd dieof thirst.
Do you not fearMe?' declaresthe LORD.'Do you not tremblein My presence?For I have placedthe sandas a boundaryfor the sea,An eternaldecree,so it cannotcrossoverit. Though the wavestoss,yet they cannotprevail;Though they roar,yet they cannotcrossoverit.
He rebukesthe seaand makesit dry;He driesup allthe rivers.Bashanand Carmelwither;The blossomsof Lebanonwither.
But seeingthe wind,he became frightened,and beginningto sink,he criedout, "Lord,saveme!"
And they cameto [Him] and wokeHim, saying,"Save[us], Lord;we are perishing!"
And He gotup and rebukedthe windand saidto the sea,"Hush,be still."And the winddied downand it becameperfectlycalm.
But Jesusrebukedhim, saying,"Be quietand comeout of him!" And when the demonhad thrown him downin the midst[of the people], he cameout of him withoutdoinghim anyharm.
And standingoverher, He rebukedthe fever,and it lefther; and she immediatelygotup and waitedon them.
Simonansweredand said,"Master,we worked hardallnightand caughtnothing,but I will do as You say[and] let downthe nets."
And He saidto them, "Whereis your faith?"They were fearfuland amazed,sayingto one another,"Whothenis this,that He commandseventhe windsand the water,and they obeyHim?"
