Jesus,fullof the HolySpirit,returnedfrom the Jordanand was ledaround by the Spiritin the wilderness
"It will comeabout when I leaveyou that the Spiritof the LORDwill carryyou whereI do not know;so when I comeand tellAhaband he cannotfindyou, he will killme, although [I] your servanthave fearedthe LORDfrom my youth.
But he himselfwenta day'sjourneyinto the wilderness,and cameand satdownundera junipertree;and he requestedfor himselfthat he might die,and said,"It is enough;now,O LORD,takemy life,for I am not betterthanmy fathers."
The Spiritof the LordGODis upon me, Becausethe LORDhas anointedme To bringgood newsto the afflicted;He has sentme to bindup the brokenhearted,To proclaimlibertyto captivesAnd freedomto prisoners;
So the Spiritliftedme up and tookme away; and I wentembitteredin the rageof my spirit,and the handof the LORDwas strongon me.
After being baptized,Jesuscameup immediatelyfrom the water;and behold,the heavenswere opened,and he sawthe Spiritof Goddescendingas a dove[and] lightingon Him,
And he camein the Spiritinto the temple;and whenthe parentsbroughtin the childJesus,to carryout for Him the customof the Law,
And he cameinto allthe district aroundthe Jordan,preachinga baptismof repentancefor the forgivenessof sins;
the son of Enosh,the son of Seth,the son of Adam,the son of God.
And Jesusreturnedto Galileein the powerof the Spirit,and newsaboutHim spreadthroughallthe surrounding district.
"THE SPIRITOF THE LORDIS UPON ME, BECAUSEHE ANOINTEDME TO PREACH THE GOSPELTO THE POOR.HE HAS SENTME TO PROCLAIMRELEASETO THE CAPTIVES,AND RECOVERY OF SIGHTTO THE BLIND,TO SETFREETHOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED,
Johntestifiedsaying,"I have seenthe Spiritdescendingas a doveout of heaven,and He remainedupon Him.
"For He whomGodhas sentspeaksthe wordsof God;for He givesthe Spiritwithoutmeasure.
untilthe daywhen He was takenup [to heaven], after He had by the HolySpiritgiven ordersto the apostleswhomHe had chosen.
"[You know of] Jesusof Nazareth,howGodanointedHim with the HolySpiritand with power,and [how] He went aboutdoing goodand healingallwho were oppressedby the devil,for Godwas with Him.
Whenthey cameup out of the water,the Spiritof the LordsnatchedPhilipaway;and the eunuchno longersawhim, but wenton his wayrejoicing.
