"The priestshall lookat the markon the skinof the body,and if the hairin the infectionhas turnedwhiteand the infectionappearsto be deeperthanthe skinof his body,it is an infectionof leprosy;when the priesthas lookedat him, he shall pronouncehim unclean.
He wenton his journeysfrom the Negevas faras Bethel,to the placewherehis tenthad beenat the beginning,betweenBetheland Ai,
"Howlanguishingis your heart,"declaresthe LordGOD,"while you doallthesethings,the actionsof a bold-facedharlot.
"Moreover, they shall teachMy people[the] [difference] betweenthe holyand the profane,and cause them to discernbetweenthe uncleanand the clean.
Strangersdevourhis strength,Yet he does not know[it]; Grayhairsalsoare sprinkledon him, Yet he does not know[it].
and so as to makea distinctionbetweenthe holyand the profane,and betweenthe uncleanand the clean,
"The priestshall then look,and ifthere is a whiteswellingin the skin,and it has turnedthe hairwhite,and there is quickrawfleshin the swelling,
"Whena manhason the skinof his bodya swellingora scabora brightspot,and it becomesan infectionof leprosyon the skinof his body,then he shall be broughtto Aaronthe priestorto oneof his sonsthe priests.
and the priestshall look,and behold,[if] it appearsto be lowerthanthe skin,and the hairon it has turnedwhite,then the priestshall pronouncehim unclean;it is the infectionof leprosy,it has brokenout in the boil.
"But ifthe brightspotis whiteon the skinof his body,and it does not appearto be deeperthanthe skin,and the hairon it has not turnedwhite,then the priestshall isolate[him who has] the infectionfor sevendays.
"The priestshall look,and ifthe scabhas spreadon the skin,then the priestshall pronouncehim unclean;it is leprosy.
"So he shall lookat the mark,and ifthe markon the wallsof the househas greenishorreddishdepressionsand appearsdeeperthanthe surface,
Thisis the lawfor anymarkof leprosy--even for a scale,
and for a swelling,and for a scab,and for a brightspot--
Orifhe toucheshumanuncleanness,of whatever[sort] his uncleanness[may] be with whichhe becomesunclean,and it is hiddenfrom him, and then he comes to know[it], he will be guilty.
"Thussaysthe LORDof hosts,Asknowthe priests[for] a ruling:
"For the lipsof a priestshould preserveknowledge,and men should seekinstructionfrom his mouth;for he is the messengerof the LORDof hosts.
"I will giveyou the keysof the kingdomof heaven;and whateveryou bindon earthshall have been boundin heaven,and whateveryou looseon earthshall have been loosedin heaven."
"Ifyou forgivethe sinsof any,[their sins] have been forgiventhem; ifyou retainthe [sins] of any,they have been retained."
"Be on guardfor yourselvesand for allthe flock,amongwhichthe HolySpirithas madeyou overseers,to shepherdthe churchof GodwhichHe purchasedwith His ownblood.
Whatshall we saythen?Is the Lawsin?May it neverbe! On the contrary,I would not have come to knowsinexceptthroughthe Law;for I would not have known aboutcovetingifthe Lawhad not said,"YOU SHALL NOT COVET."
Among theseare Hymenaeusand Alexander,whomI have handed overto Satan,sothat they will be taughtnot to blaspheme.
But evilmenand impostorswill proceed[from bad] to worse,deceivingand being deceived.
Rememberthosewho ledyou, whospokethe wordof Godto you; and consideringthe resultof their conduct,imitatetheir faith.
And I will killher childrenwith pestilence,and allthe churcheswill knowthat I amHe who searchesthe mindsand hearts;and I will giveto each oneof you accordingto your deeds.
