"At the soundof those who divide[flocks] amongthe wateringplaces,Therethey shall recountthe righteousdeedsof the LORD,The righteousdeedsfor His peasantryin Israel.Thenthe peopleof the LORDwentdownto the gates.
He made the camelskneeldownoutsidethe cityby the wellof waterat eveningtime,the timewhen women goout to drawwater.
He looked,and sawa wellin the field,and behold,threeflocksof sheepwere lyingtherebesideit, for from that wellthey wateredthe flocks.Now the stoneon the mouthof the wellwas large.
When allthe flockswere gatheredthere,they would then rollthe stonefrom the mouthof the welland waterthe sheep,and putthe stonebackin its placeon the mouthof the well.
"When I wentout to the gateof the city,When I tookmy seatin the square,
They shall eagerlyutterthe memoryof Your abundantgoodnessAnd will shoutjoyfullyof Your righteousness.
My mouthshall tellof Your righteousness[And] of Your salvationalldaylong; For I do not knowthe sum[of them].
Therefore you will joyouslydrawwaterFrom the springsof salvation.
A spiritof justicefor him who sitsin judgment,A strengthto those who repelthe onslaughtat the gate.
"Standin the gateof the LORD'Shouseand proclaimtherethiswordand say,'Hearthe wordof the LORD,allyou of Judah,who enterby thesegatesto worshipthe LORD!'"
We have to payfor our drinkingwater,Our woodcomes[to us] at a price.
We getour breadat the risk of our livesBecauseof the swordin the wilderness.
"My people,remembernowWhatBalakkingof MoabcounseledAnd whatBalaamsonof Beoransweredhim, [And] from Shittimto Gilgal,Sothat you might knowthe righteousactsof the LORD."
then you shall bringthem bothout to the gateof that cityand you shall stonethem to death;the girl,becauseshe did not cryout in the city,and the man,becausehe has violatedhis neighbor'swife.Thus you shall purgethe evilfrom amongyou.
"Then he providedthe first[part] for himself, For therethe ruler'sportionwas reserved;And he came[with] the leadersof the people;He executedthe justiceof the LORD,And His ordinanceswith Israel."

"Newgodswere chosen;Thenwar[was] in the gates.Not a shieldor a spearwas seenAmong fortythousandin Israel.
"So now,takeyour stand,that I may pleadwith you beforethe LORDconcerningallthe righteousactsof the LORDwhichHe didfor you and your fathers.
