Then Mosessaidto Aaronand to his sonsEleazarand Ithamar,"Do not uncoveryour headsnortearyour clothes,so that you will not dieand that He will not becomewrathfulagainstallthe congregation.But your kinsmen,the wholehouseof Israel,shall bewailthe burningwhichthe LORDhas broughtabout.

Then Joshuaand allIsraelwith him, tookAchanthe sonof Zerah,the silver,the mantle,the barof gold,his sons,his daughters,his oxen,his donkeys,his sheep,his tentand allthat belonged to him; and they broughtthem up to the valleyof Achor.
The menof Aistruckdownabout thirty-sixof their men,and pursuedthem from the gateas faras Shebarimand struckthem downon the descent,so the heartsof the peoplemeltedand becameas water.
