"And He sentout arrows,and scatteredthem, Lightning,and routedthem.
So SolomonrebuiltGezerand the lowerBeth-horon
So the LORDroutedthe EthiopiansbeforeAsaand beforeJudah,and the Ethiopiansfled.
But the troopswhomAmaziahsentbackfrom goingwith him to battle,raidedthe citiesof Judah,from Samariato Beth-horon,and struckdown3000of them and plunderedmuchspoil.
He sentout His arrows,and scatteredthem, And lightningflashesin abundance,and routedthem.
For by their own swordthey did not possessthe land,And their own armdid not savethem, But Your righthandand Your armand the lightof Your presence,For You favoredthem.
When the Almightyscatteredthe kingsthere, It was snowingin Zalmon.
He also droveout the nationsbeforethem And apportionedthem for an inheritanceby measurement,And made the tribesof Israeldwellin their tents.
For the LORDwill riseup as [at] MountPerazim,He will be stirredup as in the valleyof Gibeon,To doHis task,His unusualtask,And to workHis work,His extraordinarywork.
And the LORDwill cause His voiceof authorityto be heard,And the descendingof His armto be seenin fierceanger,And [in] the flameof a consumingfireIn cloudburst,downpourand hailstones.
when the armyof the kingof Babylonwas fightingagainstJerusalemand againstallthe remainingcitiesof Judah,[that is], Lachishand Azekah,for they [alone] remainedas fortifiedcitiesamong the citiesof Judah.
Then the LORDwill goforthand fightagainst thosenations,as whenHe fightson a dayof battle.
"But the LORDyour Godwill deliverthem beforeyou, and will throwthem into greatconfusionuntilthey are destroyed.
As they fledfrom beforeIsrael,[while] they were at the descentof Beth-horon,the LORDthrewlargestonesfrom heavenon them as faras Azekah,and they died;[there were] morewhodiedfrom the hailstonesthanthose whomthe sonsof Israelkilledwith the sword.
Now JoshuacapturedMakkedahon that day,and struckit and its kingwith the edgeof the sword;he utterlydestroyedit and everypersonwhowas in it. He leftnosurvivor.Thus he didto the kingof Makkedahjustas he had doneto the kingof Jericho.
So Joshuacameupon them suddenlyby marchingallnightfrom Gilgal.
The LORDdeliveredthem into the handof Israel,so that they defeatedthem, and pursuedthem as faras GreatSidonand Misrephoth-maimand the valleyof Mizpehto the east;and they struckthem untilnosurvivorwas leftto them.
the kingof Makkedah,one;the kingof Bethel,one;
Jarmuthand Adullam,Socohand Azekah,
and Gederoth,Beth-dagonand Naamahand Makkedah;sixteencitieswith their villages.
It wentdownwestwardto the territoryof the Japhletites,as faras the territoryof lowerBeth-horoneven to Gezer,and it endedat the sea.
Now [this] was the territoryof the sonsof Ephraimaccording to their families:the borderof their inheritanceeastwardwas Ataroth-addar,as faras upperBeth-horon.
and Kibzaimwith its pasturelandsand Beth-horonwith its pasturelands;fourcities.
The LORDroutedSiseraand all[his] chariotsand all[his] armywith the edgeof the swordbeforeBarak;and Siseraalightedfrom [his] chariotand fledaway on foot.
But Barakpursuedthe chariotsand the armyas faras Harosheth-hagoyim,and allthe armyof Siserafellby the edgeof the sword;not evenonewas left.
"The starsfoughtfrom heaven,From their coursesthey foughtagainstSisera.
and anothercompanyturnedtowardBeth-horon,and anothercompanyturnedtowardthe borderwhich overlooksthe valleyof Zeboimtoward the wilderness.
Now the Philistinesgatheredtheir armiesfor battle;and they were gatheredat Socohwhichbelongs to Judah,and they campedbetweenSocohand Azekah,in Ephes-dammim.
