He saidto him the thirdtime,"Simon,[son] of John,do you loveMe?" Peterwas grievedbecauseHe saidto him the third time,"Do you loveMe?" And he saidto Him, "Lord,You knowall things;You knowthat I loveYou." Jesussaidto him, "TendMy sheep.
Jesusanswered,"Will you lay downyour lifefor Me? Truly,truly,I sayto you, a roosterwill not crowuntilyou denyMe three times.
Immediatelya roostercroweda second time.And PeterrememberedhowJesushad madethe remarkto him, "Beforea roostercrowstwice,you will denyMe three times."And he began to weep.
"Nowwe know that You knowall things,and havenoneedfor anyoneto questionYou; by thiswe believethat You camefrom God."
And I will killher childrenwith pestilence,and allthe churcheswill knowthat I amHe who searchesthe mindsand hearts;and I will giveto each oneof you accordingto your deeds.
Do not grievethe HolySpiritof God,by whomyou were sealedfor the dayof redemption.
"And God,who knows the heart,testifiedto them givingthem the HolySpirit,justas He alsodid to us;
"Ifyou keepMy commandments,you will abidein My love;justas I have keptMy Father'scommandmentsand abidein His love.
"Ifyou loveMe, you will keepMy commandments.
You have triedmy heart;You have visited[me] by night;You have testedme and You findnothing;I have purposedthat my mouthwill not transgress.
Thisis now,beloved,the secondletterI am writingto you in whichI am stirringup your sinceremindby wayof reminder,
In thisyou greatly rejoice,even though nowfor a little while,ifnecessary,you have been distressedby varioustrials,
For our proud confidenceis this:the testimonyof our conscience,that in holinessand godlysincerity,not in fleshlywisdombut in the graceof God,we have conductedourselves in the world,and especiallytowardyou.
And they prayedand said,"You, Lord,who know the heartsof all men,showwhichoneof thesetwoYou have chosen
Peterthendenied[it] again,and immediatelya roostercrowed.
SoJesus,knowingall the thingsthat were comingupon Him, went forthand saidto them, "Whomdo you seek?"
"For you alwayshavethe poorwith you, but you do not alwayshaveMe."
"The Kingwill answerand sayto them, 'TrulyI sayto you, to the extentthat you didit to oneof thesebrothersof Mine,[even] the least[of them], you didit to Me.'
For He does not afflictwillinglyOr grievethe sonsof men.
"I, the LORD,searchthe heart,I testthe mind,Even to giveto eachmanaccording to his ways,According to the resultsof his deeds.
"Since I know,O my God,that You trythe heartand delightin uprightness,I, in the integrityof my heart,have willinglyofferedallthese[things]; so nowwith joyI have seenYour people,who are presenthere,make[their] offeringswillinglyto You.
So she saidto Elijah,"Whatdo I have to do with you, O manof God?You have cometo me to bringmy iniquityto remembranceand to putmy sonto death!"
"The MightyOne,God,the LORD,the MightyOne,God,the LORD!He knows,and may Israelitselfknow.If[it was] in rebellion,or ifin an unfaithfulactagainst the LORDdo not saveus thisday!
Those whomI love,I reproveand discipline;thereforebe zealousand repent.
"Againwhatmorecan Davidsayto You? For You knowYour servant,O LordGOD!
"Truly,truly,I sayto you, whenyou were younger,you used to girdyourselfand walkwhereveryou wished;but whenyou grow old,you will stretchout your handsand someone elsewill girdyou, and bringyou whereyou do not wishto [go]."
"Whatmorecan Davidstill[say] to You concerning the honor[bestowed] on Your servant?For You knowYour servant.
He saidto her, "Go,callyour husbandand comehere."
"Thishappenedthree times,and everythingwas drawnbackup into the sky.
