Josephhurried[out] for he was deeplystirredoverhis brother, and he sought[a place] to weep;and he enteredhis chamberand weptthere.
"Have I not weptfor the one whose lifeis hard? Was not my soulgrievedfor the needy?

He was despisedand forsakenof men,A manof sorrowsand acquaintedwith grief; And like one from whom men hidetheir faceHe was despised, and we did not esteemHim.
In alltheir afflictionHe was afflicted,And the angelof His presencesavedthem; In His loveand in His mercyHe redeemedthem, And He liftedthem and carriedthem allthe daysof old.
But ifyou will not listento it, My soulwill sobin secretfor [such] pride; And my eyeswill bitterlyweepAnd flowdownwith tears,Becausethe flockof the LORDhas been takencaptive.
"You will saythiswordto them, 'Let my eyesflowdownwith tearsnightand day,And let them not cease; For the virgindaughterof my peoplehas been crushedwith a mightyblow,With a sorelyinfectedwound.
Ohthat my headwere watersAnd my eyesa fountainof tears,That I might weepdayand nightFor the slainof the daughterof my people!
"For thesethingsI weep;My eyesrundownwith water;Becausefarfrom me is a comforter,One who restoresmy soul.My childrenare desolateBecausethe enemyhas prevailed."
While they were listeningto these things,Jesus wenton to tella parable, becauseHe was nearJerusalem, and they supposedthat the kingdomof Godwas goingto appearimmediately.
WhenHe approached[Jerusalem], He sawthe cityand weptoverit,
WhenJesusthereforesawher weeping, and the Jewswho camewith her [also] weeping,He was deeply movedin spiritand was troubled,
and said,"Wherehave you laidhim?" They saidto Him, "Lord, comeand see."
