That the triumphingof the wickedis short,And the joyof the godlessmomentary?
He perishesforeverlike his refuse;Those who have seenhim will say,'Whereis he?'
"Behold,I knowyour thoughts,And the plansby which you would wrongme.
"Have you not askedwayfaringmen, And do you not recognizetheir witness?
"Behold,allof you have seen[it]; Whythendo you actfoolishly?
"I would declareto Him the numberof my steps;Likea princeI would approachHim.
"Those who hateyou will be clothedwith shame,And the tentof the wickedwill be nolonger."
"SurelyI will not entermy house,Norlieon my bed;
Then he passedaway,and lo,he was nomore;I soughtfor him, but he could not be found.
"I will make it goforth,"declaresthe LORDof hosts,"and it will enterthe houseof the thiefand the houseof the one who swearsfalselyby My name;and it will spendthe nightwithinthat houseand consumeit with its timberand stones."
