"Thesetentimesyou have insultedme; You are not ashamedto wrongme.
"Behold,allof you have seen[it]; Whythendo you actfoolishly?
"As Godlives,who has takenawaymy right,And the Almighty,who has embitteredmy soul,
"Howlongwill you saythesethings,And the wordsof your mouthbe a mightywind?
Howlong,O LORD?Will You forgetme forever?Howlongwill You hideYour facefrom me?
As a shatteringof my bones,my adversariesrevileme, While they sayto me alldaylong, "Whereis your God?"
His speechwas smootherthanbutter,But his heartwas war;His wordswere softerthanoil,Yet they were drawnswords.
Behold,they belchforthwith their mouth;Swordsare in their lips,For, [they say], "Whohears?"
Whohave sharpenedtheir tonguelike a sword.They aimedbitterspeech[as] their arrow,
Thereis one who speaksrashlylike the thrustsof a sword,But the tongueof the wisebringshealing.
Deathand lifeare in the powerof the tongue,And those who loveit will eatits fruit.
and they criedout with a loudvoice,saying,"How long,O Lord,holyand true,will You refrainfrom judgingand avengingour bloodon thosewho dwellon the earth?"
It cameabout whenshe pressedhim dailywith her wordsand urgedhim, that his soulwas annoyedto death.
