"Thereforethussaysthe LORD,the Godof hosts,the Godof Israel,'Behold,I am bringingon Judahand on allthe inhabitantsof Jerusalemallthe disasterthat I have pronouncedagainstthem; becauseI spoketo them but they did not listen,and I have calledthem but they did not answer.'"
"Behold,I, even I am bringingthe floodof waterupon the earth,to destroyallfleshin whichis the breathof life,from underheaven;everythingthat is on the earthshall perish.
The one who despisesthe wordwill be in debtto it, But the one who fearsthe commandmentwill be rewarded.
Allthe waysof a manare cleanin his own sight,But the LORDweighsthe motives.
"Whywas therenomanwhen I came?When I called,[why] was therenoneto answer?Is My handsoshortthat it cannotransom?OrhaveI nopowerto deliver?Behold,I dryup the seawith My rebuke,I makethe riversa wilderness;Their fishstinkfor lackof waterAnd dieof thirst.
I will destineyou for the sword,And allof you will bowdownto the slaughter.BecauseI called,but you did not answer;I spoke,but you did not hear.And you didevilin My sightAnd chosethat in whichI did not delight."
SoI will choosetheir punishmentsAnd will bringon them whatthey dread.BecauseI called,but nooneanswered;I spoke,but they did not listen.And they didevilin My sightAnd chosethat in whichI did not delight."
Thereforethussaysthe LORD,"BeholdI am bringingdisasteron them whichthey will not be ableto escape;though they will cryto Me, yet I will not listento them.
Yet they didnot obeyor inclinetheir ear,but walked,eachone,in the stubbornnessof his evilheart;therefore I broughton them allthe wordsof thiscovenant,whichI commanded[them] to do,but they didnot.'"

and say,'Hearthe wordof the LORD,O kingsof Judahand inhabitantsof Jerusalem:thussaysthe LORDof hosts,the Godof Israel,"BeholdI am about to bringa calamityupon thisplace,at whichthe earsof everyonethat hearsof it will tingle.
to listento the wordsof My servantsthe prophets,whomI have been sendingto you againand again,but you have not listened;
"They have turned[their] backto Me and not [their] face;though [I] taughtthem, teachingagainand again,they would not listenand receiveinstruction.
"I will also punishhim and his descendantsand his servantsfor their iniquity,and I will bringon them and the inhabitantsof Jerusalemand the menof Judahallthe calamitythat I have declaredto them-- but they did not listen."'"
"And now,becauseyou have doneallthesethings,"declaresthe LORD,"and I spoketo you, risingup earlyand speaking,but you did not hear,and I calledyou but you did not answer,
Therefore,on accountof you Zionwill be plowedas a field,Jerusalemwill becomea heapof ruins,And the mountainof the temple[will become] highplacesof a forest.
But as for IsraelHe says,"ALLTHE DAYLONG I HAVE STRETCHEDOUT MY HANDSTO A DISOBEDIENTAND OBSTINATEPEOPLE."
