"Thereis hopefor your future,"declaresthe LORD,"And [your] childrenwill returnto their own territory.
"Yetthere will be a tenthportionin it, And it will againbe [subject] to burning,Like a terebinthor an oakWhosestumpremains whenit is felled.The holyseedis its stump."
So I say,"My strengthhas perished,And [so has] my hopefrom the LORD."
ThisI recallto my mind,ThereforeI havehope.
[It is] goodthat he waitssilentlyFor the salvationof the LORD.
Let him puthis mouthin the dust,Perhapsthereis hope.
"Sayto them, 'Thussaysthe LordGOD,"Behold,I will takethe sonsof Israelfrom amongthe nationswherethey have gone,and I will gatherthem from everysideand bringthem into their own land;
"They will liveon the landthat I gaveto JacobMy servant,in whichyour fatherslived;and they will liveon it, they, and their sonsand their sons'sons,forever;and DavidMy servantwill be their princeforever.
"Then they will knowthat I am the LORDtheir Godbecause I made them gointo exileamongthe nations,and then gatheredthem [again] to their own land;and I will leavenoneof them thereanylonger.
"Then I will giveher her vineyardsfrom there,And the valleyof Achoras a doorof hope.And she will singthereas in the daysof her youth,As in the daywhen she cameup from the landof Egypt.
Afterwardthe sonsof Israelwill returnand seekthe LORDtheir Godand Davidtheir king;and they will cometremblingto the LORDand to His goodnessin the lastdays.
Returnto the stronghold,O prisonerswho have the hope;This verydayI am declaringthat I will restoredoubleto you.
"Unlessthosedayshad been cutshort,nolifewould have been saved;but for the sakeof the electthosedayswill be cut short.
