Rebukethe beastsin the reeds,The herdof bullswith the calvesof the peoples,Tramplingunder footthe piecesof silver;He has scatteredthe peopleswho delightin war.
But You have exaltedmy hornlike [that of] the wildox;I have been anointedwith freshoil.
"I troddownthe peoplesin My angerAnd made them drunkin My wrath,And I pouredout their lifebloodon the earth."
"Wail,you shepherds,and cry;And wallow[in ashes], you mastersof the flock;For the daysof your slaughterand your dispersionshave come,And you will falllike a choicevessel.
"Alsoher mercenariesin her midstAre like fattenedcalves,For eventhey toohave turnedback[and] have fledaway together;They did not stand[their ground]. For the dayof their calamityhas comeupon them, The timeof their punishment.
"Becauseyou are glad,becauseyou are jubilant,O you who pillageMy heritage,Becauseyou skipaboutlike a threshingheiferAnd neighlike stallions,
Putallher youngbullsto the sword;Let them godownto the slaughter!Woebe upon them, for their dayhas come,The timeof their punishment.
"I will also make the landdrinkthe dischargeof your bloodAs faras the mountains,And the ravineswill be fullof you.
"As for you, sonof man,thussaysthe LordGOD,'Speakto everykindof birdand to everybeastof the field,"Assembleand come,gatherfrom everysideto My sacrificewhichI am going to sacrificefor you, as a greatsacrificeon the mountainsof Israel,that you may eatfleshand drinkblood.
"You will eatthe fleshof mightymenand drinkthe bloodof the princesof the earth,as [though they were] rams,lambs,goatsand bulls,allof them fatlingsof Bashan.
"Godbringsthem out of Egypt,He is for them like the hornsof the wildox.
"Godbringshim out of Egypt,He is for him like the hornsof the wildox.He will devourthe nations[who are] his adversaries,And will crushtheir bonesin pieces, And shatter[them] with his arrows.
"As the firstbornof his ox,majestyis his, And his hornsare the hornsof the wildox;With them he will pushthe peoples,Allat once,[to] the endsof the earth.And thoseare the tenthousandsof Ephraim,And thoseare the thousandsof Manasseh."
