"Thoughits rootsgrowoldin the groundAnd its stumpdiesin the drysoil,
My rootis spreadout to the waters,And dewliesall nighton my branch.
Your peoplewill volunteerfreelyin the dayof Your power;In holyarray,from the wombof the dawn,Your youthare to You [as] the dew.
My strengthis driedup like a potsherd,And my tonguecleavesto my jaws;And You layme in the dustof death.
Allthe prosperousof the earthwill eatand worship,Allthose who godownto the dustwill bowbeforeHim, Even he who cannotkeephis soulalive.
You whohave shownme manytroublesand distressesWill reviveme again,And will bringme up againfrom the depthsof the earth.
Will Your lovingkindnessbe declaredin the grave,Your faithfulnessin Abaddon?
For thusthe LORDhas toldme, "I will lookfrom My dwellingplacequietlyLike dazzlingheatin the sunshine,Like a cloudof dewin the heatof harvest."
He will swallowup deathfor alltime,And the LordGODwill wipetearsawayfrom allfaces,And He will removethe reproachof His peoplefrom allthe earth;For the LORDhas spoken.
Rouseyourself!Rouseyourself!Arise,O Jerusalem,You whohave drunkfrom the LORD'Shandthe cupof His anger;The chaliceof reelingyou have drainedto the dregs.
"Manyof those whosleepin the dustof the groundwill awake,theseto everlastinglife,but the othersto disgrace[and] everlastingcontempt.
Shall I ransomthem from the powerof Sheol?Shall I redeemthem from death?O Death,whereare your thorns?O Sheol,whereis your sting?Compassionwill be hiddenfrom My sight.
I will be like the dewto Israel;He will blossomlike the lily,And he will takerootlike [the cedars of] Lebanon.
"He will reviveus aftertwo days;He will raiseus up on the thirdday,That we may livebeforeHim.
For [there will be] peacefor the seed:the vinewill yieldits fruit,the landwill yieldits produceand the heavenswill givetheir dew;and I will cause the remnantof thispeopleto inheritallthese[things].
The tombswere opened,and manybodiesof the saintswho had fallen asleepwere raised;
This manwentto Pilateand askedfor the bodyof Jesus.ThenPilateorderedit to be given[to him].
havinga hopein God,whichthese mencherishthemselves,that there shall certainlybe a resurrectionof boththe righteousand the wicked.
But nowChristhas been raisedfrom the dead,the first fruitsof thosewho are asleep.
For this reasonit says,"Awake,sleeper,And arisefrom the dead,And Christwill shineon you."
"Let my teachingdropas the rain,My speechdistillas the dew,As the dropletson the freshgrassAnd as the showerson the herb.
Of Josephhe said,"Blessedof the LORD[be] his land,With the choicethingsof heaven,with the dew,And from the deeplyingbeneath,
"So Israeldwellsin security,The fountainof Jacobsecluded,In a landof grainand newwine;His heavensalsodropdowndew.
that I may knowHim and the powerof His resurrectionand the fellowshipof His sufferings,being conformedto His death;
whowill transformthe bodyof our humble stateinto conformitywith the bodyof His glory,by the exertionof the power that He hasevento subjectall thingsto Himself.
"The LORDkillsand makesalive;He bringsdownto Sheoland raisesup.
