Cryaloudand shoutfor joy,O inhabitantof Zion,For greatin your midstis the HolyOneof Israel.
"Howthen will one answerthe messengersof the nation?That the LORDhas foundedZion,And the afflictedof His peoplewill seekrefugein it."
At that timea giftof homagewill be broughtto the LORDof hostsFrom a peopletalland smooth,Even from a peoplefearedfarand wide,A powerfuland oppressivenation,Whoselandthe riversdivide--To the placeof the nameof the LORDof hosts,[even] MountZion.
Your deadwill live;Their corpseswill rise.You who liein the dust,awakeand shoutfor joy,For your dew[is as] the dewof the dawn,And the earthwill givebirthto the departedspirits.
For behold,the LORDis about to comeout from His placeTo punishthe inhabitantsof the earthfor their iniquity;And the earthwill revealher bloodshedAnd will nolongercoverher slain.
"His rockwill passawaybecauseof panic,And his princeswill be terrifiedat the standard,"Declaresthe LORD,whosefireis in Zionand whose furnaceis in Jerusalem.
"I bringnearMy righteousness,it is not faroff; And My salvationwill not delay.And I will grantsalvationin Zion,[And] My gloryfor Israel.
For thussaysthe highand exaltedOne Who livesforever,whose nameis Holy,"I dwell[on] a highand holyplace, And [also] with the contriteand lowlyof spiritIn order to revivethe spiritof the lowlyAnd to revivethe heartof the contrite.
I will be like the dewto Israel;He will blossomlike the lily,And he will takerootlike [the cedars of] Lebanon.
I will goaway [and] returnto My placeUntilthey acknowledgetheir guiltand seekMy face;In their afflictionthey will earnestlyseekMe.
Then you will knowthat I am the LORDyour God,Dwellingin Zion,My holymountain.So Jerusalemwill be holy,And strangerswill passthrough it nomore.
