Therefore a tumultwill ariseamong your people,And allyour fortresseswill be destroyed,As ShalmandestroyedBeth-arbelon the dayof battle,[When] motherswere dashedin pieceswith [their] children.
For I will gatherallthe nationsagainstJerusalemto battle,and the citywill be captured,the housesplundered,the womenravishedand halfof the cityexiled,but the restof the peoplewill not be cutofffrom the city.
They ravishedthe womenin Zion,The virginsin the citiesof Judah.
And [their] bowswill mowdownthe youngmen,They will not even havecompassionon the fruitof the womb,[Nor] will their eyepitychildren.
"Preparefor his sonsa placeof slaughterBecause of the iniquityof their fathers.They must not ariseand takepossessionof the earthAnd fillthe faceof the worldwith cities."
