Sothere remainsa Sabbath restfor the peopleof God.
The princesof the peoplehave assembledthemselves [as] the peopleof the Godof Abraham,For the shieldsof the earthbelong to God;He is highlyexalted.
So the peoplerestedon the seventhday.
Then in that dayThe nationswill resortto the rootof Jesse,Whowill standas a signalfor the peoples;And His restingplacewill be glorious.
He entersinto peace;They restin their beds,[Each one] who walkedin his uprightway.
"She will beara Son;and you shall callHis nameJesus,for He will saveHis peoplefrom their sins."
whogaveHimselffor us to redeemus from everylawless deed,and to purifyfor Himselfa peoplefor His ownpossession,zealousfor gooddeeds.
choosingratherto endure ill-treatmentwith the peopleof Godthanto enjoythe passingpleasuresof sin,
AS I SWOREIN MY WRATH,'THEY SHALL NOT ENTERMY REST.'"
Therefore,let us fearif,while a promiseremainsof enteringHis rest,any oneof you may seemto have come shortof it.
For the one whohas enteredHis resthas himselfalsorestedfrom his works,as Goddid from His.
For we whohave believedenterthat rest,justas He has said,"AS I SWOREIN MY WRATH,THEY SHALL NOT ENTERMY REST,"althoughHis workswere finishedfrom the foundationof the world.
For ifJoshuahad given them rest,He would not have spokenof anotherdayafterthat.
for you oncewere NOT A PEOPLE,but nowyou are THE PEOPLEOF GOD;you had NOT RECEIVEDMERCY,but nowyou have RECEIVED MERCY.
And I hearda voicefrom heaven,saying,"Write,Blessedare the deadwho diein the Lordfrom nowon!'" "Yes,"saysthe Spirit,"sothat they may restfrom their labors,for their deedsfollowwith them."
and He will wipe awayeverytearfrom their eyes;and there will nolongerbe [any] death;there will nolongerbe [any] mourning,orcrying,orpain;the first thingshave passed away."
