"Judah,your brothersshall praiseyou; Your handshall be on the neckof your enemies;Your father'ssonsshall bowdownto you.
May peoplesserveyou, And nationsbowdownto you; Be masterof your brothers,And may your mother'ssonsbowdownto you. Cursedbe those who curseyou, And blessedbe those who blessyou."
And she conceivedagainand borea sonand said,"ThistimeI will praisethe LORD."Thereforeshe namedhim Judah.Then she stoppedbearing.
Now Josephwas the ruleroverthe land;he was the one who soldto allthe peopleof the land.And Joseph'sbrotherscameand boweddownto him with [their] facesto the ground.
The sonsof Judah:Erand Onanand Shelahand Perezand Zerah(but Erand Onandiedin the landof Canaan).And the sonsof Perezwere Hezronand Hamul.
"You have also mademy enemiesturn[their] backsto me, And I destroyedthose who hatedme.
And Joabgavethe numberof the registrationof the peopleto the king;and there were in Israeleighthundredthousandvaliantmenwho drewthe sword,and the menof Judahwere fivehundredthousandmen.

"Yet, the LORD,the Godof Israel,choseme from allthe houseof my fatherto be kingoverIsraelforever.For He has chosenJudahto be a leader;and in the houseof Judah,my father'shouse,and among the sonsof my fatherHe tookpleasurein me to make[me] kingoverallIsrael.
ThoughJudahprevailedover his brothers,and from him [came] the leader,yet the birthrightbelonged to Joseph),
Now Asahadan armyof 300,000from Judah,bearinglargeshieldsand spears,and 280,000from Benjamin,bearingshieldsand wieldingbows;allof them were valiantwarriors.
He gatheredallJudahand Benjaminand those from Ephraim,Manassehand Simeonwho residedwith them, for manydefectedto him from Israelwhen they sawthat the LORDhis Godwas with him.
He placedtroopsin allthe fortifiedcitiesof Judah,and setgarrisonsin the landof Judahand in the citiesof EphraimwhichAsahis fatherhad captured.
Neverthelesssomemenof Asher,Manassehand Zebulunhumbledthemselves and cameto Jerusalem.
Godis knownin Judah;His nameis greatin Israel.
Therewill be noendto the increaseof [His] governmentor of peace,On the throneof Davidand overhis kingdom,To establishit and to upholdit with justiceand righteousnessFrom thenon and forevermore.The zealof the LORDof hostswill accomplishthis.
while they seefor you false visions,while they divineliesfor you-- to placeyou on the necksof the wickedwhoare slain,whosedayhas come,in the timeof the punishmentof the end.

The standardof the campof the sonsof Judah,according to their armies,setout first,with Nahshonthe sonof Amminadab,overits army,
The sonsof Judahaccording to their familieswere: of Shelah,the familyof the Shelanites;of Perez,the familyof the Perezites;of Zerah,the familyof the Zerahites.
Theseare the familiesof Judahaccording to those who were numberedof them, 76,500
And thisregarding Judah;so he said,"Hear,O LORD,the voiceof Judah,And bringhim to his people.With his handshe contendedfor them, And may You be a helpagainsthis adversaries."

For it is evidentthat our Lordwas descendedfrom Judah,a tribewith referenceto whichMosesspokenothingconcerningpriests.
When they broughtthesekingsout to Joshua,Joshuacalledfor allthe menof Israel,and saidto the chiefsof the menof warwho had gonewith him, "Comenear,putyour feeton the necksof thesekings."So they camenearand puttheir feeton their necks.
Thisis the inheritanceof the tribeof the sonsof Judahaccording to their families.
Thenthe seventhangelsounded;and there were loudvoicesin heaven,saying,"The kingdomof the worldhas become[the kingdom] of our Lordand of His Christ;and He will reignforeverand ever."
and oneof the elderssaidto me, "Stopweeping;behold,the Lionthat is from the tribeof Judah,the Rootof David,has overcomeso as to openthe bookand its sevenseals."
Now the sonsof Israelarose,wentup to Bethel,and inquiredof Godand said,"Whoshall goup firstfor us to battleagainstthe sonsof Benjamin?"Then the LORDsaid,"Judah[shall go up] first."
