Now there was a faminein the land;so Abramwentdownto Egyptto sojournthere,for the faminewas severein the land.
and the sevenyearsof faminebeganto come,justas Josephhad said,then there was faminein allthe lands,but in allthe landof Egyptthere was bread.
When the faminewas [spread] overallthe faceof the earth,then Josephopenedallthe storehouses,and soldto the Egyptians;and the faminewas severein the landof Egypt.
Now Jacobsawthat therewas grainin Egypt,and Jacobsaidto his sons,"Whyare you staringat one another?"
So the sonsof Israelcameto buygrainamongthose who were coming,for the faminewas in the landof Canaan[also].
