As soonas He had finishedspeakingto Abrahamthe LORDdeparted,and Abrahamreturnedto his place.
They blessedRebekahand saidto her, "May you, our sister,Becomethousandsof tenthousands,And may your descendantspossessThe gateof those who hatethem."
So IsaaccalledJacoband blessedhim and chargedhim, and saidto him, "You shall not takea wifefrom the daughtersof Canaan.
Now it cameabout whenRachelhad borneJoseph,that Jacobsaidto Laban,"Sendme away,that I may goto my own placeand to my own country.

Then Labanrepliedto Jacob,"The daughtersare my daughters,and the childrenare my children,and the flocksare my flocks,and allthat you seeis mine. But whatcan I dothis dayto thesemy daughtersorto their childrenwhomthey have borne?
Then Esauranto meethim and embracedhim, and fellon his neckand kissedhim, and they wept.
Allthe peoplecrossedoverthe Jordanand the kingcrossedtoo. The kingthen kissedBarzillaiand blessedhim, and he returnedto his place.
For the wrathof manshall praiseYou; With a remnantof wrathYou will girdYourself.
When a man'swaysare pleasingto the LORD,He makesevenhis enemiesto be at peacewith him.
Then Balaksaidto Balaam,"Whathave you doneto me? I tookyou to cursemy enemies,but behold,you have actuallyblessedthem!"
Then the LORDputa wordin Balaam'smouthand said,"Returnto Balak,and you shall speakthus."
"Howshall I cursewhom Godhas not cursed?And howcan I denouncewhom the LORDhas not denounced?
Then Balaamaroseand departedand returnedto his place,and Balakalsowenthis way.
"Nevertheless, the LORDyour Godwas not willingto listento Balaam,but the LORDyour Godturnedthe curseinto a blessingfor you becausethe LORDyour Godlovesyou.
"For the LORDwill vindicateHis people,And will havecompassionon His servants,WhenHe seesthat [their] strengthis gone,And thereis none[remaining], bondor free.
And they liftedup their voicesand weptagain;and Orpahkissedher mother-in-law,but Ruthclungto her.
