So Esauborea grudgeagainstJacobbecauseof the blessingwith whichhis fatherhad blessedhim; and Esausaidto himself,"The daysof mourningfor my fatherare near;then I will killmy brotherJacob."
Now when the wordsof her eldersonEsauwere reportedto Rebekah,she sentand calledher youngersonJacob,and saidto him, "Beholdyour brotherEsauis consolinghimself concerning you [by planning] to killyou.
"Deliverme, I pray,from the handof my brother,from the handof Esau;for I fearhim, that he will comeand attackme [and] the motherswith the children.
Then Jacobsentmessengersbeforehim to his brotherEsauin the landof Seir,the countryof Edom.
The messengersreturnedto Jacob,saying,"We cameto your brotherEsau,and furthermorehe is comingto meetyou, and fourhundredmenare with him."
Isaacbreathedhis lastand diedand was gatheredto his people,an oldmanof ripeage;and his sonsEsauand Jacobburiedhim.
When they sawhim from a distanceand beforehe camecloseto them, they plottedagainsthim to puthim to death.
His brotherssawthat their fatherlovedhim morethanallhis brothers;and [so] they hatedhim and couldnot speakto him on friendlyterms.
Then his brotherssaidto him, "Are you actuallygoing to reignoverus? Orare you reallygoing to ruleover us?" So they hatedhim evenmorefor his dreamsand for his words.
When Joseph'sbrotherssawthat their fatherwas dead,they said,"What if Josephbearsa grudgeagainstus and paysus backin fullfor allthe wrongwhichwe didto him!"
Josephcommandedhis servantsthe physiciansto embalmhis father.So the physiciansembalmedIsrael.
So his servantstookhim out of the chariotand carriedhim in the secondchariotwhichhe had, and broughthim to Jerusalemwhere he diedand was buriedin the tombsof his fathers.AllJudahand Jerusalemmournedfor Josiah.

"Becauseyou have hadeverlastingenmityand have deliveredthe sonsof Israelto the powerof the swordat the timeof their calamity,at the timeof the punishmentof the end,
So the sonsof Israelweptfor Mosesin the plainsof Moabthirtydays;then the daysof weeping[and] mourningfor Mosescameto an end.
