But Lotwentout to them at the doorway,and shutthe doorbehindhim,
There were alsomalecultprostitutesin the land.They didaccording to allthe abominationsof the nationswhichthe LORDdispossessedbeforethe sonsof Israel.
The remnantof the sodomiteswhoremainedin the daysof his fatherAsa,he expelledfrom the land.
Unlessthe LORDof hostsHad leftus a fewsurvivors,We would be like Sodom,We would be likeGomorrah.
The expressionof their facesbearswitnessagainst them, And they displaytheir sinlike Sodom;They do not [even] conceal[it]. Woeto them! For they have broughtevilon themselves.
"Therefore the showershave been withheld,And there has beennospringrain.Yet you hada harlot'sforehead;You refusedto be ashamed.
"Were they ashamedbecauseof the abominationthey have done?They were not evenashamedat all;They did not evenknowhow to blush.Thereforethey shall fallamong those who fall;At the timethat I punishthem, They shall be castdown,"saysthe LORD.
"Behold,thiswas the guiltof your sisterSodom:she and her daughtershadarrogance,abundantfoodand carelessease,but she did not helpthe poorand needy.
"Thus they were haughtyand committedabominationsbeforeMe. Therefore I removedthem whenI saw[it].
"Furthermore, Samariadid not commithalfof your sins,for you have multipliedyour abominationsmorethanthey. Thus you have madeyour sistersappear righteousby allyour abominationswhichyou have committed.
You shall not liewith a maleas one lieswith a female;it is an abomination.
If [there is] a manwholieswith a maleas those who liewith a woman,bothof them have committeda detestableact;they shall surelybe putto death.Their bloodguiltinessis upon them.
Ordo you not knowthat the unrighteouswill not inheritthe kingdomof God?Do not be deceived;neitherfornicators,noridolaters,noradulterers,noreffeminate,norhomosexuals,
"Noneof the daughtersof Israelshall be a cultprostitute,norshall anyof the sonsof Israelbe a cultprostitute.
and immoral menand homosexualsand kidnappersand liarsand perjurers,and whateverelseis contraryto soundteaching,
But evilmenand impostorswill proceed[from bad] to worse,deceivingand being deceived.
Manywill followtheir sensuality,and becauseof them the wayof the truthwill be maligned;
and [if] He rescuedrighteousLot,oppressedby the sensualconductof unprincipled men
justas Sodomand Gomorrahand the citiesaroundthem, since they in the samewayas theseindulged in gross immoralityand wentafterstrangeflesh,are exhibitedas an examplein undergoingthe punishmentof eternalfire.
While they were celebrating,behold,the menof the city,certainworthlessfellows,surroundedthe house,poundingthe door;and they spoketo the ownerof the house,the oldman,saying,"Bringout the manwhocameinto your housethat we may haverelationswith him."
