"Farbe it from You to dosucha thing,to slaythe righteouswith the wicked,so that the righteousand the wickedare [treated] alike. Farbe it from You! Shall not the Judgeof allthe earthdealjustly?"
"Supposethereare fiftyrighteouswithinthe city;will You indeedsweep[it] awayand not sparethe placefor the sakeof the fiftyrighteouswhoare in it?
Thenthe treesof the forestwill singfor joybeforethe LORD;For He is comingto judgethe earth.
"Nowthen let the fearof the LORDbe upon you; be very carefulwhat you do,for the LORDour Godwill havenopart in unrighteousnessor partialityor the takingof a bribe."
"However, You are justin allthat has comeupon us; For You have dealtfaithfully,but we have actedwickedly.
"Therefore,listento me, you menof understanding.Farbe it from Godto do wickedness,And from the Almightyto do wrong.
"Surely,Godwill not actwickedly,And the Almightywill not pervertjustice.
"Lo,Godwill not reject[a man of] integrity,Norwill He supportthe evildoers.
"Does Godpervertjustice?Ordoes the Almightypervertwhatis right?
And the heavensdeclareHis righteousness,For GodHimselfis judge.Selah.
And menwill say,"Surelythere is a rewardfor the righteous;Surelythereis a Godwho judgeson earth!"
Ifa man does not repent,He will sharpenHis sword;He has bentHis bowand madeit ready.
"The earthand allwho dwellin it melt;It is I who have firmlysetits pillars.Selah.
Riseup, O Judgeof the earth,Renderrecompenseto the proud.
Beforethe LORD,for He is comingto judgethe earth;He will judgethe worldwith righteousnessAnd the peopleswith equity.
I saidto myself,"Godwill judgeboth the righteousmanand the wickedman,"for a timefor everymatterand for everydeedis there.
I have seeneverythingduring my lifetimeof futility;thereis a righteousmanwho perishesin his righteousnessand thereis a wickedmanwho prolongs[his life] in his wickedness.
But, O LORDof hosts,who judgesrighteously,Who triesthe feelingsand the heart,Let me seeYour vengeanceon them, For to You have I committedmy cause.
Righteousare You, O LORD,that I would plead[my] casewith You; IndeedI would discussmattersof justicewith You: Whyhas the wayof the wickedprospered?[Why] are allthose who dealin treacheryat ease?
"Yet you say,The wayof the Lordis not right.'Hearnow,O houseof Israel!Is My waynot right?Is it not your waysthat are not right?
So you will againdistinguishbetweenthe righteousand the wicked,betweenone who servesGodand one whodoes not serveHim.
But they fellon their facesand said,"O God,Godof the spiritsof allflesh,when onemansins,will You be angrywith the entirecongregation?"
For we mustallappearbeforethe judgment seatof Christ,sothat each onemay be recompensedfor his deeds in the body,accordingto whathe has done,whethergoodorbad.
"Then I chargedyour judgesat that time,saying,'Hear[the cases] betweenyour fellowcountrymen,and judgerighteouslybetweena manand his fellowcountryman,or the alienwho is with him.
You shall not showpartialityin judgment;you shall hearthe smalland the greatalike. You shall not fearman,for the judgmentis God's.The casethat is toohardfor you, you shall bringto me, and I will hearit.'
"The Rock!His workis perfect,For allHis waysare just;A Godof faithfulnessand withoutinjustice,Righteousand uprightis He.
to the general assemblyand churchof the firstbornwho are enrolledin heaven,and to God,the Judgeof all,and to the spiritsof [the] righteousmade perfect,
I therefore have not sinnedagainst you, but you are doingme wrongby makingwaragainst me; may the LORD,the Judge,judgetodaybetweenthe sonsof Israeland the sonsof Ammon.'"
