Now when Abramwas ninety-nineyearsold,the LORDappearedto Abramand saidto him, "I am GodAlmighty;WalkbeforeMe, and be blameless.
Now the LORDsaidto Abram,"Goforth from your country,And from your relativesAnd from your father'shouse,To the landwhichI will showyou;
The LORDappearedto Abramand said,"To your descendantsI will givethisland."So he builtan altarthereto the LORDwho had appearedto him.
Abramwas eighty-sixyearsoldwhen HagarboreIshmaelto him.
Now the LORDappearedto him by the oaksof Mamre,while he was sittingat the tentdoorin the heatof the day.
"Is anythingtoodifficultfor the LORD?At the appointedtimeI will returnto you, at thistimenextyear,and Sarahwill have a son."
"He saidto me, 'The LORD,beforewhomI have walked,will sendHis angelwith you to make your journeysuccessful,and you will takea wifefor my sonfrom my relativesand from my father'shouse;
The LORDappearedto him and said,"Do not godownto Egypt;stayin the landof whichI shall tellyou.
"May GodAlmightyblessyou and makeyou fruitfuland multiplyyou, that you may becomea companyof peoples.
Godalso saidto him, "I am GodAlmighty;Be fruitfuland multiply;A nationand a companyof nationsshall comefrom you, And kingsshall comeforthfrom you.
and may GodAlmightygrantyou compassionin the sightof the man,so that he will releaseto you your otherbrotherand Benjamin.And as for me, ifI am bereavedof my children,I am bereaved."
He said,"I am God,the Godof your father;do not be afraidto godownto Egypt,for I will makeyou a greatnationthere.
He blessedJoseph,and said,"The Godbeforewhommy fathersAbrahamand Isaacwalked,The Godwho has been my shepherdallmy lifeto thisday,
Then Jacobsaidto Joseph,"GodAlmightyappearedto me at Luzin the landof Canaanand blessedme,
Then Enochwalkedwith Godthreehundredyearsafterhe becamethe fatherof Methuselah,and he had[other] sonsand daughters.
Enochwalkedwith God;and he was not, for Godtookhim.
Theseare [the records of] the generationsof Noah.Noahwas a righteousman,blamelessin his time;Noahwalkedwith God.
sothat the LORDmay carryout His promisewhichHe spokeconcerningme, saying,Ifyour sonsare carefulof their way,to walkbeforeMe in truthwith alltheir heartand with alltheir soul,you shall not lacka manon the throneof Israel.'
Then Solomonsaid,"You have showngreatlovingkindnessto Your servantDavidmy father,accordingas he walkedbeforeYou in truthand righteousnessand uprightnessof hearttowardYou; and You have reservedfor him thisgreatlovingkindness,that You have givenhim a sonto siton his throne,as [it is] thisday.
"Nowtherefore, O LORD,the Godof Israel,keepwith Your servantDavidmy fatherthat whichYou have promisedhim, saying,You shall not lacka manto siton the throneof Israel,ifonlyyour sonstakeheedto their wayto walkbeforeMe as you have walked.'
"Remembernow,OLORD,I beseechYou, howI have walkedbeforeYou in truthand with a wholeheartand have donewhatis goodin Your sight."And Hezekiahweptbitterly.
There was a manin the landof Uzwhose namewas Job;and that manwas blameless,upright,fearingGodand turningawayfrom evil.
"Can you discoverthe depthsof God?Can you discoverthe limitsof the Almighty?
But our Godis in the heavens;He doeswhateverHe pleases.
I shall walkbeforethe LORDIn the landof the living.
The secretof the LORDis for those who fearHim, And He will make them knowHis covenant.
and I appearedto Abraham,Isaac,and Jacob,as GodAlmighty,but [by] My name,LORD,I did not makeMyself knownto them.
He who walksin integritywalkssecurely,But he who pervertshis wayswill be foundout.
and said,"Remembernow,OLORD,I beseechYou, howI have walkedbeforeYou in truthand with a wholeheart,and have donewhatis goodin Your sight."And Hezekiahweptbitterly.
AhLordGOD!Behold,You have madethe heavensand the earthby Your greatpowerand by Your outstretchedarm!Nothingis toodifficultfor You,
"Allthe inhabitantsof the earthare accountedas nothing,But He doesaccordingto His willin the hostof heavenAnd [among] the inhabitantsof earth;And noone can wardoffHis handOr sayto Him, 'Whathave You done?'
He has toldyou, O man,whatis good;And whatdoes the LORDrequireof you But to dojustice,to lovekindness,And to walkhumblywith your God?
The LORDsaidto Moses,"Is the LORD'Spowerlimited?Nowyou shall seewhether My wordwill cometrue~for you ornot."
The oracleof him who hearsthe wordsof God,And knowsthe knowledgeof the MostHigh,Who seesthe visionof the Almighty,Fallingdown,yet having his eyesuncovered.
And lookingat [them] Jesussaidto them, "With peoplethisis impossible,but with Godall thingsare possible."
"Thereforeyou are to be perfect,as your heavenlyFatheris perfect.
They were bothrighteousin the sightof God,walkingblamelesslyin allthe commandmentsand requirementsof the Lord.
Paul,looking intentlyat the Council,said,"Brethren,I have lived my lifewith a perfectlygoodconsciencebefore Godup to thisday."
"In view of this,I alsodo my bestto maintainalwaysa blamelessconscience[both] beforeGodand before men.
Nowto Him who is ableto dofar more abundantlybeyondallthat we askorthink,accordingto the powerthat workswithinus,
"For the LORDyour Godis the Godof godsand the Lordof lords,the great,the mighty,and the awesomeGodwhodoes not showpartialitynortakea bribe.
"You shall be blamelessbeforethe LORDyour God.
by lovingthe LORDyour God,by obeyingHis voice,and by holdingfastto Him; for thisis your lifeand the lengthof your days,that you may livein the landwhichthe LORDsworeto your fathers,to Abraham,Isaac,and Jacob,to givethem."
I can doall thingsthroughHim who strengthensme.
Therefore,since we receivea kingdomwhich cannot be shaken,let us showgratitude,by whichwe may offerto Godan acceptableservicewith reverenceand awe;
ThereforeHe is ablealsoto saveforeverthosewho draw nearto GodthroughHim, since He alwayslivesto make intercessionfor them.
