Then he ledme to the gate,the gatefacingtowardthe east;
When the cherubimdeparted,they liftedtheir wingsand roseup from the earthin my sightwith the wheelsbesidethem; and they stoodstillat the entranceof the eastgateof the LORD'Shouse,and the gloryof the Godof Israelhoveredoverthem.
Then he wentto the gatewhichfacedeast,wentup its stepsand measuredthe thresholdof the gate,onerodin width;and the otherthreshold[was] onerodin width.
Now when he had finishedmeasuringthe innerhouse,he broughtme out by the wayof the gatewhichfacedtowardthe eastand measuredit allaround.
And the gloryof the LORDcameinto the houseby the wayof the gatefacingtowardthe east.
Then He broughtme backby the wayof the outergateof the sanctuary,which facesthe east;and it was shut.
The LORDsaidto me, "Thisgateshall be shut;it shall not be opened,and nooneshall enterby it, for the LORDGodof Israelhas enteredby it; therefore it shall be shut.
Thussaysthe LordGOD,"The gateof the innercourtfacingeastshall be shutthe sixworkingdays;but it shall be openedon the sabbathdayand openedon the dayof the newmoon.
