And you, O desolateone, whatwill you do?Althoughyou dressin scarlet,Althoughyou decorate[yourself with] ornamentsof gold,Althoughyou enlargeyour eyeswith paint,In vainyou makeyourself beautiful.[Your] loversdespiseyou; They seekyour life.
"She uncoveredher harlotriesand uncoveredher nakedness;then I becamedisgustedwith her, as I had becomedisgustedwith her sister.
They will dealwith you in hatred,takeallyour property,and leaveyou nakedand bare.And the nakednessof your harlotrieswill be uncovered,both your lewdnessand your harlotries.
Thus I will make lewdnessceasefrom the land,that allwomenmay be admonishedand not commitlewdnessas you have done.
"And thenI will uncoverher lewdnessIn the sightof her lovers,And noonewill rescueher out of My hand.
OrI will stripher nakedAnd exposeher as on the daywhen she was born.I will also makeher like a wilderness,Makeher like desertlandAnd slayher with thirst.
