"Then bringnearto yourself Aaronyour brother,and his sonswith him, from amongthe sonsof Israel,to ministeras priestto Me-- Aaron,Nadaband Abihu,Eleazarand Ithamar,Aaron'ssons.
The sonsof Amramwere Aaronand Moses.And Aaronwas setapartto sanctifyhim as mostholy,he and his sonsforever,to burnincensebeforethe LORD,to ministerto Him and to blessin His nameforever.
and Johananbecamethe fatherof Azariah(it was he whoservedas the priestin the housewhichSolomonbuiltin Jerusalem),
the sonof Elkanah,the sonof Jeroham,the sonof Eliel,the sonof Toah,
For the Leviteslefttheir pasturelandsand their propertyand cameto Judahand Jerusalem,for Jeroboamand his sonshad excludedthem from servingas prieststo the LORD.
O houseof Aaron,trustin the LORD;He is their helpand their shield.
Mosesand Aaronwere among His priests,And Samuelwas among those who calledon His name;They calledupon the LORDand He answeredthem.
Then He saidto Moses,"Comeup to the LORD,you and Aaron,Nadaband Abihuand seventyof the eldersof Israel,and you shall worshipat a distance.
Then Moseswentup with Aaron,Nadaband Abihu,and seventyof the eldersof Israel,
"You shall putthem on Aaronyour brotherand on his sonswith him; and you shall anointthem and ordainthem and consecratethem, that they may serveMe as priests.
"Now thisis whatyou shall doto them to consecratethem to ministeras prieststo Me: takeoneyoungbulland tworamswithoutblemish,
"I will consecratethe tentof meetingand the altar;I will also consecrateAaronand his sonsto ministeras prieststo Me.
"You shall girdthem with sashes,Aaronand his sons,and bindcapson them, and they shall havethe priesthoodby a perpetualstatute.So you shall ordainAaronand his sons.
"You shall anointAaronand his sons,and consecratethem, that they may ministeras prieststo Me.
the wovengarmentsas well, and the holygarmentsfor Aaronthe priest,and the garmentsof his sons,[with which] to carryon their priesthood;
the wovengarmentsfor ministeringin the holyplace, the holygarmentsfor Aaronthe priestand the garmentsof his sons,to ministeras priests.'"
AaronmarriedElisheba,the daughterof Amminadab,the sisterof Nahshon,and she borehim Nadaband Abihu,Eleazarand Ithamar.
Now Nadaband Abihu,the sonsof Aaron,tooktheir respectivefirepans,and after puttingfirein them, placedincenseon it and offeredstrangefirebeforethe LORD,whichHe had not commandedthem.
Then Mosesspoketo Aaron,and to his survivingsons,Eleazarand Ithamar,"Takethe grain offeringthat is leftoverfrom the LORD'Sofferingsby fireand eatit unleavenedbesidethe altar,for it is mostholy.
Thisis that whichis consecratedto Aaronand that whichis consecratedto his sonsfrom the offeringsby fireto the LORD,in that daywhen he presentedthem to serveas prieststo the LORD.
Then the LORDspoketo Moses,saying,
"TakeAaronand his sonswith him, and the garmentsand the anointingoiland the bullof the sinoffering,and the tworamsand the basketof unleavenedbread,
"But you and your sonswith you shall attendto your priesthoodfor everythingconcerningthe altarand insidethe veil,and you are to performservice.I am givingyou the priesthoodas a bestowedservice,but the outsiderwho comesnearshall be putto death."

But Nadaband Abihudiedwhen they offeredstrangefirebeforethe LORD.
Nowit happened[that] whilehe was performing his priestly servicebeforeGodin the [appointed] orderof his division,
(Now the sonsof Israelsetout from BeerothBene-jaakanto Moserah.ThereAarondiedand therehe was buriedand Eleazarhis sonministeredas priestin his place.
"For the LORDyour Godhas chosenhim and his sonsfrom allyour tribes,to standand servein the nameof the LORDforever.
Did I [not] choosethem from allthe tribesof Israelto be My priests,to goup to My altar,to burnincense,to carryan ephodbeforeMe; and did I [not] giveto the houseof your fatherallthe fire[offerings] of the sonsof Israel?
