You shall makean altarof earthfor Me, and you shall sacrificeon it your burntofferingsand your peaceofferings,your sheepand your oxen;in everyplacewhereI cause My nameto be remembered,I will cometo you and blessyou.
And I will makeyou a greatnation,And I will blessyou, And makeyour namegreat;And so you shall be a blessing;
Now it was toldKingDavid,saying,"The LORDhas blessedthe houseof Obed-edomand allthat belongs to him, on accountof the arkof God."Davidwentand broughtup the arkof Godfrom the houseof Obed-edominto the cityof Davidwith gladness.
that Your eyesmay be opentowardthishousenightand day,towardthe placeof whichYou have said,'My nameshall be there,'to listento the prayerwhichYour servantshall praytowardthisplace.
hearin heavenYour dwellingplace,and doaccording to allfor whichthe foreignercallsto You, in orderthat allthe peoplesof the earthmay knowYour name,to fearYou, as [do] Your peopleIsrael,and that they may knowthat thishousewhichI have builtis calledby Your name.
The LORDsaidto him, "I have heardyour prayerand your supplication,whichyou have madebeforeMe; I have consecratedthishousewhichyou have builtby puttingMy namethereforever,and My eyesand My heartwill be thereperpetually.
Naamansaid,"If not, pleaselet your servantat least be giventwomules'loadof earth;for your servantwill nolongerofferburntofferingnorwill he sacrificeto othergods,but to the LORD.
So KingRehoboamstrengthenedhimself in Jerusalemand reigned.NowRehoboamwas forty-oneyearsoldwhen he began to reign,and he reignedseventeenyearsin Jerusalem,the citywhichthe LORDhad chosenfrom allthe tribesof Israel,to putHis namethere.And his mother'snamewas Naamahthe Ammonitess.
but I have chosenJerusalemthat My namemight be there,and I have chosenDavidto be overMy peopleIsrael.'
"For nowI have chosenand consecratedthishousethat My namemay be thereforever,and My eyesand My heartwill be thereperpetually.
"May the Godwhohas caused His nameto dwellthereoverthrowanykingor peoplewhoattemptsto change[it], so as to destroythishouseof Godin Jerusalem.I, Darius,have issued[this] decree,let [it] be carriedout with alldiligence!"
but [if] you returnto Me and keepMy commandmentsand dothem, thoughthose of you who have been scatteredwere in the mostremotepartof the heavens,I will gatherthem from thereand will bringthem to the placewhereI have chosento cause My nameto dwell.'
I will giveheedto the blamelessway.Whenwill You cometo me? I will walkwithinmy housein the integrityof my heart.
Our feetare standingWithin your gates,O Jerusalem,
The LORDblessyou from Zion,And may you seethe prosperityof Jerusalemallthe daysof your life.
May the LORDblessyou from Zion,He who madeheavenand earth.
They have burnedYour sanctuaryto the ground;They have defiledthe dwellingplaceof Your name.
His tabernacleis in Salem;His dwellingplacealso is in Zion.
But chosethe tribeof Judah,MountZionwhichHe loved.
But Mosessaid,"You must alsoletus havesacrificesand burntofferings,that we may sacrifice[them] to the LORDour God.
Then Jethro,Moses'father-in-law,tooka burntofferingand sacrificesfor God,and Aaroncamewith allthe eldersof Israelto eata mealwith Moses'father-in-lawbeforeGod.
Ifyou makean altarof stonefor Me, you shall not buildit of cutstones,for if you wieldyour toolon it, you will profaneit.
Moseswrotedownallthe wordsof the LORD.Then he aroseearlyin the morning,and builtan altarat the footof the mountainwith twelvepillarsfor the twelvetribesof Israel.
He sentyoungmenof the sonsof Israel,and they offeredburntofferingsand sacrificedyoungbullsas peaceofferingsto the LORD.
"And you shall makethe altarof acaciawood,fivecubitslongand fivecubitswide;the altarshall be square,and its heightshall be threecubits.
You meethim who rejoicesin doingrighteousness,Who remembersYou in Your ways.Behold,You were angry,for we sinned,[We continued] in them a longtime;And shall we be saved?
and does not bringit to the doorwayof the tentof meetingto offerit to the LORD,that manalso shall be cutofffrom his people.
"For from the risingof the sunevento its setting,My name[will be] greatamong the nations,and in everyplaceincenseis going to be offeredto My name,and a grain offering[that is] pure;for My name[will be] greatamong the nations,"saysthe LORDof hosts.
"For wheretwoorthreehave gathered togetherin My name,I amtherein their midst."
teachingthem to observeallthat I commandedyou; and lo,I amwith you always,evento the endof the age."
then it shall comeabout that the placein whichthe LORDyour Godwill choosefor His nameto dwell,thereyou shall bringallthat I commandyou: your burntofferingsand your sacrifices,your tithesand the contributionof your hand,and allyour choicevotiveofferingswhichyou will vowto the LORD.
"Ifthe placewhichthe LORDyour Godchoosesto putHis nameis too farfrom you, then you may slaughterof your herdand flockwhichthe LORDhas givenyou, as I have commandedyou; and you may eatwithin your gateswhateveryou desire.
"But you shall seek[the LORD] at the placewhichthe LORDyour Godwill choosefrom allyour tribes,to establishHis nametherefor His dwelling,and thereyou shall come.
"You shall eatin the presenceof the LORDyour God,at the placewhereHe choosesto establishHis name,the titheof your grain,your newwine,your oil,and the firstbornof your herdand your flock,sothat you may learnto fearthe LORDyour Godalways.
and you shall rejoicebeforethe LORDyour God,you and your sonand your daughterand your maleand femaleservantsand the Levitewhois in your town,and the strangerand the orphanand the widowwhoare in your midst,in the placewherethe LORDyour Godchoosesto establishHis name.
that you shall takesomeof the firstof allthe produceof the groundwhichyou bringin from your landthat the LORDyour Godgivesyou, and you shall put[it] in a basketand goto the placewherethe LORDyour Godchoosesto establishHis name.
"He will loveyou and blessyou and multiplyyou; He will also blessthe fruitof your womband the fruitof your ground,your grainand your newwineand your oil,the increaseof your herdand the youngof your flock,in the landwhichHe sworeto your forefathersto giveyou.
ThereforeI wantthe menin everyplaceto pray,liftingup holyhands,withoutwrathand dissension.
