When Pharaohheardof thismatter,he triedto killMoses.But Mosesfledfrom the presenceof Pharaohand settledin the landof Midian,and he satdownby a well.
He made the camelskneeldownoutsidethe cityby the wellof waterat eveningtime,the timewhen women goout to drawwater.
She boreto him Zimranand Jokshanand Medanand Midianand Ishbakand Shuah.
The sonsof Midian[were] Ephahand Epherand Hanochand Abidaand Eldaah.Allthese[were] the sonsof Keturah.
He looked,and sawa wellin the field,and behold,threeflocksof sheepwere lyingtherebesideit, for from that wellthey wateredthe flocks.Now the stoneon the mouthof the wellwas large.
They arosefrom Midianand cameto Paran;and they tookmenwith them from Paranand cameto Egypt,to Pharaohkingof Egypt,who gavehim a houseand assignedhim foodand gavehim land.
The otherwas namedEliezer,for [he said], "The Godof my fatherwas my help,and deliveredme from the swordof Pharaoh."
Now the LORDsaidto Mosesin Midian,"Gobackto Egypt,for allthe menwho were seekingyour lifeare dead."
The prudentseesthe eviland hideshimself, But the naivegoon, and are punishedfor it.
I sawthe tentsof Cushanunderdistress,The tentcurtainsof the landof Midianwere trembling.
"But wheneverthey persecuteyou in onecity,fleeto the next;for trulyI sayto you, you will not finish[going through] the citiesof Israeluntilthe Sonof Mancomes.
and Jacob'swellwas there.SoJesus,being weariedfrom His journey,was sittingthusby the well.It was aboutthe sixthhour.
"At thisremark,MOSESFLEDAND BECAMEAN ALIENIN THE LANDOF MIDIAN,wherehe became the fatherof twosons.
By faithhe leftEgypt,not fearingthe wrathof the king;for he endured,as seeingHim who is unseen.
