The LORDsaidto Moses,"Behold,I will cometo you in a thickcloud,sothat the peoplemay hearwhen I speakwith you and may alsobelievein you forever."Then Mosestoldthe wordsof the peopleto the LORD.
"Out of the heavensHe let you hearHis voiceto disciplineyou; and on earthHe let you seeHis greatfire,and you heardHis wordsfrom the midstof the fire.
So it cameabout on the thirdday,when it was morning,that there were thunderand lightningflashesand a thickcloudupon the mountainand a veryloudtrumpetsound,so that allthe peoplewho[were] in the camptrembled.
While he was stillspeaking,a brightcloudovershadowedthem, and behold,a voiceout of the cloudsaid,"Thisis My belovedSon,with whomI am well-pleased;listento Him!"
Cloudsand thickdarknesssurroundHim; Righteousnessand justiceare the foundationof His throne.
So the peoplestoodat a distance,while Mosesapproachedthe thickcloudwhereGod[was].
When Israelsawthe greatpowerwhichthe LORDhad usedagainst the Egyptians,the peoplefearedthe LORD,and they believedin the LORDand in His servantMoses.
BEHOLD,HE IS COMINGWITH THE CLOUDS,and everyeyewill seeHim, eventhose whopiercedHim; and allthe tribesof the earthwill mournoverHim. Soit is to be. Amen.
"The one who listensto you listensto Me, and the one who rejectsyou rejectsMe; and he who rejectsMe rejectsthe One who sentMe."
Thena cloudformed,overshadowingthem, and a voicecameout of the cloud,"Thisis My belovedSon,listento Him!"
The oracleconcerning Egypt.Behold,the LORDis ridingon a swiftcloudand is about to cometo Egypt;The idolsof Egyptwill trembleat His presence,And the heartof the Egyptianswill meltwithinthem.
and the headof Ephraimis Samariaand the headof Samariais the sonof Remaliah.Ifyou will not believe,you surelyshall not last."'"
They roseearlyin the morningand wentout to the wildernessof Tekoa;and when they wentout, Jehoshaphatstoodand said,"Listento me, O Judahand inhabitantsof Jerusalem,putyour trustin the LORDyour Godand you will be established.Putyour trustin His prophetsand succeed."
ThenSolomonsaid,"The LORDhas saidthat He would dwellin the thickcloud.
"that they may believethat the LORD,the Godof their fathers,the Godof Abraham,the Godof Isaac,and the Godof Jacob,has appearedto you."
So the peoplebelieved;and when they heardthat the LORDwas concernedabout the sonsof Israeland that He had seentheir affliction,then they bowedlowand worshiped.
The LORDdescendedin the cloudand stoodtherewith him as he calledupon the nameof the LORD.
Then the LORDcamedownin a pillarof cloudand stoodat the doorwayof the tent,and He calledAaronand Miriam.When they had bothcomeforward,
He spoketo them in the pillarof cloud;They keptHis testimoniesAnd the statutethat He gavethem.
"[Remember] the dayyou stoodbeforethe LORDyour Godat Horeb,when the LORDsaidto me, 'Assemblethe peopleto Me, that I may let them hearMy wordssothey may learnto fearMe allthe daysthey liveon the earth,and that they may teachtheir children.'
